Mrs. Tubby Bear wipes his eyes and advises him that once his car is mended, the villagers will want him to be their taxi-driver again and now he should ride away singing his Brave Song and also come to her place for tea that afternoon. Noddy does his best to be brave and after singing his song he feels a little better and more able to cope with life. He cycles around doing the shopping for a great many people who are all talking about him because he's singing a new song and he's so Brave. His red and yellow car receives frequent visits and soon it can go PARP, PARP again as it gradually recovers under the expert attention of Mr. Golly. Just a coat of paint needed now and once it's all fixed the general feeling is that Mr. Honk will be 'Out' and Noddy will be 'In'. [1] Blyton stopped contributing in 1952, and it closed down the following year, shortly before the appearance of the new fortnightly Enid Blyton Magazine written entirely by Blyton. [62] The first edition appeared on 18 March 1953, [63] and the magazine ran until September 1959. Journal No. 9 was the first to have a full-colour cover, specially illustrated by the Noddy artist Robert Tyndall to mark Noddy's 50th birthday. Every issue since has come with a splendid colour cover, and recently all the issues preceding Journal No. 9 were reprinted with colour covers. Can he manage to tidy Toyland in time to collect the reward? Noddy is established in his little house and the milkman calling round to introduce himself to his new customer becomes a little confused at the way Noddy's head bobs up and down. It's difficult to discern as to how many bottles of milk are required because when Noddy is asked if he wants one bottle or two, he nods each time. However, once the reason for this is explained and Noddy has also let on that he has no money, the milkman very kindly says he will give him free milk when he calls provided he can tap his head to watch it go up and down. Bert Monkey (voiced by Jimmy Hibbert) is a youngish monkey with a tail that is very naughty and has a mind of its own, often stealing objects all by itself. While it's heavily implied that this character is the same character as Bunkey, this is never confirmed within the series.
