This medicine is available without prescription. However, you still need to use Hydromol Cream carefully to get the best results from it. Cetomacrogol emulsifying wax (contains cetostearyl alcohol and macrogol cetostearyl ether), yellow soft paraffin and liquid paraffin. This preparation contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).

The active ingredient in Hydromol cream is sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate which is a humectant, a type of moisturiser that works by attracting water from the air and deeper layers of the skin increases the water content in the upper layers of the skin and by keeping the skin hydrated.
