Description

They often come as blank canvases and have not picked up bad habits trying to learn to invest themselves. Written by Female Invest co-founders (Anna-Sophie Hartvigsen, Camilla Falkenberg and Emma Due Bitz) our new book ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Funds’ is an uplifting money manifesto set to shift the tides of financial power head on. Bought this book on a bit of a whim the day before it was published because I want to get on top on my finances and start investing, but I don't really know where to start.

Perhaps this is a personal pet peeve of mine, but the reading voice kept pronouncing "has" instead of "as", which really bugged me at times. The book is also packed with empowering reflections, interviews and practical tools that will instil you with confidence and set you on the path towards financial freedom. If the graphics/texts weren’t this good I don’t think I would have rated it this high because it was a dry topic lol.The scarcity of female founders is often highlighted as a reason for the gender gap in VC funding, but our experience tells a different truth. This is the fifth finance book I've read in the past few months, yet I still found plenty to enjoy and take in.

Its nice to have a single book to recommend someone start with to get exposure to all of the concepts. I sat down with Grace Beverley to discuss how money can change the world and why women need to own their financial power. A practical and empowering personal finance guide for women of all ages from the founder of Ladies Finance Club, Molly Benjamin. They addressed ESG but skimmed it and recommended new investors look at the UNSDGs - a framework which isn’t at all related to investments. Girls Just Wanna Have Funds is geared toward young adults and women getting started on their investing journey. I tried to look at this book from a beginner’s lens but even with this perspective, I would not recommend this book. Camilla Falkenberg , Emma Due Bitz , and Anna-Sophie Hartvigsen are the founders of Female Invest, a global financial educator targeting women. Consequently, we've spent a disproportionate amount of time justifying our existence, rather than delving into our traction, key metrics, team, and vision for the future, which naturally gives male founders a huge leg up in the early stages. One of the best investments I’ve made this year has been a subscription to Female Invest, an educational platform that demystifies the traditionally male-dominated arena of finance. That is why we are so pleased to be reaching new audiences thanks to Grace Beverley new podcast episode, featuring our co-founder Anna-Sophie Hartvigsen. However I did find this as a good reminder of some basic principles and found the sustainability/feminist part educating.
