This was a very strange and annoying plot technique where the plot followed one event in the present until there needed to be some background information given so there’d be a random scene taking place in the past shoved into the present scenes. Tanjiro passes the test to become an official demon slayer, but he doesn’t get the chance to ask any demons about saving his sister before he has to slay them.

Still reeling from this test, he gets back to his master to find Nezuho awakened, and soon after he gets his first mission and then his second. We get a little bit of development of the two demon-docto rs, so I am hoping that we can get more in the next volume.
