Quick reactions are key when it comes to scoring a big victory which is where the AOC AG274QXM 27" QHD IPS G-SYNC Compatible 170Hz Gaming Monitor (AG274QXM) comes through. While I understand that some may like an oversaturated look to give their favourite games some added pop, I’m a stickler for accuracy and so naturally gravitate towards the look of the ‘sRGB’ colour temperature when using the AG27QXM in SDR. The most widely used panels are those with 6, 8, and 10 bits for each of the RGB components of the pixel.

This was measured at ~37,500:1 which was much better and so overall across the screen as a whole you can achieve some significant improvements in contrast in certain scenarios. I would be waiting for somthing similar to the neo G7 but flat if sticking to a typical 27/32 inch monitor. HDR expands the contrast ratio (peak luminance and minimal black levels) and color palette to achieve more details across the whole image - from the darkest parts to the brightest ones, which results in more realistic and life-like image.

Information about the maximum horizontal viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality. Samsung seem dead set on selling either curved high end panels or mediocre flat ones, with nothing in between. One other fairly major gripe we had is with the PWM operation of the backlight, which just seems odd in today’s world of ‘flicker free’ displays. HDMI represents the leading digital video, audio, and data interface for high speed connections between ultra high-definition displays and a wide range of consumer electronics, including providing support for modern gaming consoles and PCs. The back is encased in a matte black plastic with some sections for the RGB lighting (“Light FX”) on either side that you can see in the images below.

Most displays have the ability to be tilted forward and backward as to provide a more comfortable viewing position for the user. You will really need a calibration device though if you want to work with anything other than the native gamut, and to give more accurate performance for sRGB/SDR and Adobe RGB workflows. This is a pretty extreme test pattern admittedly, and in normal HDR content it was hard to see any issues like this.
