This is very different from what I usually read but its a nice change of scenery and fits perfectly with this story, considering it threw me off for a few chapters. The cool-as-ice operative's touch may get her all hot and bothered, but no man can have a hold on her heart until her niece is home where she belongs. You'll be turning page after page through suspense, murder, romance and those 18+ scenes as you try and figure out who is trying to frame Jason for his missing sister.

Though this books gives us some what of a conclusion to Jason and Jules, the story continues much to my delight with the dream team as they continue to work to unveil the puppet master behind the events disrupting Jason, Jules and the teams lives.

Rivers did an immaculate job with detailing one of the many experiences human trafficking victims have without giving too many gruesome details. Without Jules as my defense attorney, I would be locked in a cell instead of trying to save my sister. A solid plot, with side characters that are intriguing and bring more questions about their lives that as a reader I hope are answered in future books in the series. Ever since he ghosted her, Jules has made a name for herself, arguing for second chances in every courthouse across the southeast.
