If you want a keyboard that has onboard memory to save custom profiles, check out the Corsair K60 RGB PRO Low Profile. Aircraft-grade 5052 aluminium top case is anodized and brushed for a slim, premium design plus rigid durability. The Logitech G513 was designed to ease the previous generation G413 model into 2018's feature expectations. As I’ll discuss later, the Logitech Gaming Software is still the preferred means for tweaking presets, but it is nice to have some functionality on-the-fly via the function keys instead of needing to do it all in software. Use FN + F keys to control volume, play and pause, skip track, mute, toggle lighting, enter game mode, etc.

And even though the G513 is wired and the G613 is wireless, latency is only slightly higher on the G613 and shouldn't be noticeable.Creating anything worth looking at definitely has a learning curve, but it’s kind of neat if you’re looking to make your keyboard truly stand out.

On the other hand, the Pyro has onboard memory, but the ROCCAT Swarm software is only available on Windows. The HyperX Alloy FPS RGB is a better gaming keyboard than the Logitech G513, but the Logitech is more versatile and performs better for office use and mixed usage.I found just the right level of give to this rest, with a soft memory foam base providing ample support for those heavier keys (more on that later), but never swallowing the palm in an overly spongy manner. through the center of the board can be used for the headset cable to avoid having the cable go around the keyboard or through and under the desk. The “leatherette” surface is packed with memory foam and the result is extremely comfortable; kind of like a soft pillow for your wrists or palms, but not quite as luxurious as the wrist rest on the Razer BlackWidow V2. Now, i'm focused on Nintendo Switch, gaming laptops (and the keyboards and mice that come with them), and tracking everything that suggests VR is about to take over our lives.

Unfortunately, the keycaps are made of ABS plastic that feels cheap and will attract oil from your fingertips. The G513 supports 26-key rollover, you therefore never have to worry about whether your inputs will be recognized correctly. That said, the Razer provides a better typing experience because the tactile feedback is more distinct and not as mushy as the Logitech.

But the keyboard’s array of function keys do offer media control as well as other secondary actions including a key to cycle lighting effects and brightness, and to switch on a customizable game mode which prevents errant Windows key presses. Easily the biggest difference between this keyboard and its predecessor is it commemorates the introduction of Logitech’s Romer-G Linear switch. However, the Razer's incredible responsiveness also makes it less ideal for general typing because the keys are overly sensitive, which leads to more typos.

Today we will be reviewing the Logitech G513 which is the successor to the G413 that was released last year. It's far better than a midrange board, but not quite as fancy (or expensive) as a Corsair K95 and its ilk. Larger keycaps, like the spacebar in particular, don’t suffer from wobble when you’re hitting one side of the bar. Unfortunately, while you can set macros in the companion software, they're limited to the function keys, and there's no onboard memory to save your settings.

GX-Blue switches on the other hand would be ideal for typing so I would go with that if typing is what you will be doing most of the time. Yes, you're sacrificing some of the features we may take for granted just four years after this deck's launch; onboard memory, wider programming options, and dedicated media controls, for example. The Romer-G Tacticle and Linear feel pretty identical but I will say that the Romer-G Linear does feel slightly faster.
