The pink hue apparently comes from the pink grapefruit which we presume are also macerated after distillation. This gin is made from Provencal grapes and then brings in 12 botanicals to infuse it with its flavor.

The history of winemaking in Provence dates back to ancient times, with the Greeks and Romans introducing viticulture to the region. By using our knowledge of Provencal terroirs and our know-how about blending wine, we decided to bring a new approach to Gin with this handcrafted Provencal gin !A far cry from the transitory “summer drink”, MistralGin has all the strengths of an exceptional gin. Botanicals: Maniguette, Coriander, Cardamon, Iris Root, Juniper, Pink Pepper, Eucalyptus, Fennel, Basil, Pink Grapefruit, Mint and Thyme Hand crated in small batches. To bring in the fruity element there is pink grapefruit (which helps lend the color) as well as aniseed and mint. And very good they are too, but it’s refreshing to find one with more than a century of distilling behind it.

Each sip reveals a journey through aromatic basil and thyme, followed by the invigorating zest of citrus peels. Scents of herbs like Thyme, Fennel, Eucalyptus, Mint and Grapefruit transported by the fresh Mistral ocean breeze describe the South of France like nothing else. By blending the Provençal herbs and citrus with the traditional gin botanicals this unique rosé dry gin has a great balance between a typical juniper gin but complemented by Provençal herbs, citrus, mint, and aniseed notes.Based on our knowledge of the terroirs of Provence and our know-how in the blending of wines, we decided to launch a new artisanal approach for this gin. The six Provençal botanicals (thyme, basil, fennel, pink grapefruit, eucalyptus and mint), all hand-picked from the nearby mountain slopes of nearby Montagne du Lure, are infused and distilled separately. Each botanical is distilled separately and carefully blended for a clever balance of zesty citrus and drying herbs.
