With a few tweaks, Tan could be the spiritual successor to James Bond in the way she pulls off a gun placement for assassination on a Greek gangster’s yacht. It doesn't need to be explained everytime, there's a charm to that mystery but I'd love to see a scene where we get to see the full walkthrough and her thought process.Biography: Charles Ardai is the founder and editor of Hard Case Crime and the Edgar Award-winning author of the acclaimed novels Little Girl Lost and Songs of Innocence. Our protagonist, Joanna Tan aka Gun Honey, is a specialist in the way that she is capable of infiltrating any area and conceal the gun so it can be used by the person hiring her to execute their own mission. An expert at espionage as well as breaking into facilities undetected, she is largely hired to sneak weapons into uncrackable locations. Gun Honey plants guns in impossible to smuggle places which then allows an assassin or murder access to a gun in said impossible place. If Tarantino wrote a comic, trying to encapsulate everything that’s flagrantly awesome about the crime grindhouse subgenre, it would turn out looking like Gun Honey.

I finished the series, enjoyed the issues i read because the artist Ang Hor Kheng has great potential with noir comics. Obviously, Tan is rendered as a curvy woman and the artist isn’t shy about positioning Tan to use her looks to her advantage.
