About this deal

Ours doesn’t do it all the time, but it does happen, which is a bit of a bummer, and isn’t as fun for the kids. Disclosure: We have received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

As a little girl, hopelessly addicted to My Little Pony, I could often be caught imagining far out tales for my stuffed animals and action figures, into the wee hours of the morning. The impact hurt her, but even worse, the blades of the toy's dress entangled in her hair all the way down to her scalp. It was quite strange, and the only way we got her down was by pressing on her launch button to get her to come back down and end the flight (tip: press the launch button once to get her to come down slowly, and twice for her to stop very quickly). The company that makes the fairy even has detailed instructions for how to re-set the fairy if it is a consistent problem and you find that your fairy just hangs out on the ceiling all the time.

I had a look at the instructions and added the batteries, it does require 6 x AA batteries that are not included. Both my daughters have been playing with this, they have been having contests to see who can make the fairy fly the longest without hitting the ceiling or wall and it has entertained them for a long while so far. This week, I attended the Argos Christmas Top Toys and Flying Fairy by Flutterbye was one of the most wanted toys. Once the Flutterbye leaves the charger base it is important the operator/child reaches out their hand, about a foot below the flying fairy, to maintain communication contact with the sensors on the bottom of her skirt.

We were sent a Flutterbye Flying Fairy including lots of fairy dust to review from Spin Master Toys. There are sensors there, and when they sense your hand (no need to touch, just be near), she floats back up again.

DD S is an admirer of Fairies and most of the time lives in fairy world, So when we were asked to review the Flutterbye Flying Fairy from Spin Master Toys, she was thrilled, excited, screamed and couldn’t wait for the fairy to reach home. You need a little practice to learn the hand control but it is not definitely going to be a longer before you learn to guide her.

What Daughter Says: The technology of tomorrow is present in the toys of today, as seen in the Flutterbye fairy. When I began to hear all the holiday buzz about Spin Master's latest interactive creation, the Flutterbye fairy, I was immediately taken back to the memories from my childhood. Purchased this doll just over a week ago for my daughter, worked fine for about 20mins until the initial charge wore out then wouldnt charge again.A little over a month ago I blogged about the fact that I was considering getting the Deluxe Light Up Flutterbye Fairy. To make it simple, rather than a detailed written story, a little video will explain more how the fairy works and how much the little ones will enjoy them and Why it will definitely be an excellent Christmas present for any little girl. So after my experience playing with the toy, I’d still say it is a really cool toy, unlike anything else we own, but it isn’t without its flaws.
