Over the past 10 years charting my own path, I’ve realized how divorced my thoughts, words and actions can be from what I really want. I have foundation level training with Deep Release and and I am a member of a regional Deep Release training group. When I was working to put my life back together after a five-year suicidal binge with drugs and alcohol, I didn’t need someone telling me to love myself. Since 2015 she also has a private practice in Crawley which is accessible to many areas of Sussex and Surrey.

She works integratively, using a wide range of creative activities as well as other Deep Release interventions as appropriate. It is usually something that we have withdrawn from in the past that we are now getting the opportunity to embrace. Working with what the client brings, Lesley can offer creative interventions to help with the client’s journey. While reading this book I’ve realized the root of this problem: I’ve often avoided the parts of me that don’t feel lovable. To the point where you think of it in a negative sense because of phrases like, ‘Look at her, she thinks she’s all that.Well one of the best ways you can show yourself some love is by setting boundaries, giving you time to focus on you! In turn empowering you to make positive changes as you move purposefully and confidently towards your aspirations and authentic self. Her two poetry books are 'wild spirit, soft heart' and 'she's flowers and fire', and 'go where you breathe free' is her poetry inspiration journal.

In this book, the iconic Brené Brown dispels that myth and shows you how it's actually a strength and opens us up to so many other amazing life experiences. I later learned that yoga is functional therapy, which is helpful for trauma survivors who need to reacquaint themselves with their bodies without being touched.
