About this deal
The use of recognizable characters, locations, and magical items does give a more complete feeling of immersion into Toril and the Forgotten Realms than many Clue spinoffs.
An Infernal Puzzle Box, delivered by a Hellrider of Elturel, has been stolen from the party of adventurers.
It’s great to see them utilize the story and lore that has been built up over the decades in novels, videogames, and comicbooks.

Description Join a Mysterious Journey… An Infernal Puzzle Box, delivered by a Hellrider of Elturel, has been stolen from the party of adventurers. To do so, they announce the combination that they wish to investigate (the location necessarily being the one in which their pawn is located), and the player to their right must discreetly reveal if they have one of the cards announced, thereby eliminating that card as one of the culpable ones. Sometime those crossovers are epic in scale (like the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3 videogame), and sometimes they’re far simpler and closer to home, like Dungeons and Dragons Clue. But it isn’t made clear whether you should be rolling with one die or two (neither in the rulebook nor on the cards). Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. To make this worse, rolling one die would make some of the cards nearly impossible to receive, while rolling two would make some of them impossible not to receive.
The art is well done, the character choices endearing, and the little magical item tokens are super cute. And if you really want to play Clue in the Forgotten Realms it’s a lot easier to find than the 2002 version.

Explore the Docks, the Wide, the Dungeon of the Dead and more in your quest across Baldur’s Gate for the truth. Determined to reclaim their box of infernal secrets, one of Zariel's minions has slain and secretly replaced an adventurer, unbeknownst to the rest of the members!
The lack of any kind of combat or direct conflict with other players removes any strong feeling of competition, making it a good party or holiday game. Each of them is illustrated on a clue card, and one of each type of card is chosen blindly at the beginning of the game, then placed in a small envelope, where they cannot be seen. Instead of a grand mansion, however, you and your fellow players find yourself in the city of Baldur’s Gate. For those who may have never played, it goes like this: There are 9 locations, 6 (magical) weapons, and 6 suspects (also characters). Removing them arbitrarily from gameplay by an unavoidable mechanic actively weakens the fun of the game.
You might get slightly lucky and get a very informative hand, or very unlucky and draw the 7 th devil card, but the overall gameplay emphasizes the standard Clue strategies. The more players that you have, the longer the game will take, since you’ll take longer to pare down your suspects. Determined to reclaim their box of infernal secrets, one of Zariel’s minions has slain and secretly replaced an adventurer, unbeknownst to the rest of the members! But you’ll have a lot more fun by ignoring the supplemental deck and playing like you would with a standard version of Clue.
