Triple distilled and then rested for a short time in oak tanks, Gran Patron Platinum is wonderfully smooth and full-bodied. Produced originally for personal consumption, this superbly smooth tequila is now available for the world to share. Despite the foul offensive odor the taste was very weak and mostly flavorless with just an aftertaste of white granulated sugar and peroxide.

This complex character is nuanced by delicate tones of smoke and hints of liquorice - and a long, silky finish.Produced in Oaxaca, Ilegal Joven is a young Mezcal which has the distinctive flavour of roasted agave and earthy tones which help it stand out from the crowd. The agaves are cooked in an earthen pit lined with river stones and then crushed with a tahona wheel and naturally fermented. Ilegal Mezcal helped introduce the world to aged mezcal with our Reposado and Añejo expressions, and our new Limited Edition 7 Year Añejo further expands our showcasing of barrel aged innovation and artisanal craft.

Its aroma are fresh and youthful, with fresh flowers, peppermint and tobacco notes all coming through. Ilegal Joven Mezcal is from the town of Oaxacan, Mexico made from the finest quality 100% Espadin Agave. Aged for over seven years in 35 barrels of French Oak, Ilegal Mezcal 7 Year Añejo makes for an exceptional gift, or an ideal sidekick to break out on a special night. More fitting of a Soderbergh film, Ilegal's history is full of bandits, river rafts, bribes and disguises.The brand Ilegal has especially got the knack of catching the spirit of this drink and sharing it with thrilled agave schnapps fans all over the world. I was recently on a cruise and this was the only “Mezcal” they had so I thought what the hell let’s try it, how bad could it be? Ilegal Reposado Mezcal is velvety throughout with a caramelised pear and bitter orange note and on the nose. Our aged mezcals are rested in a combination of new and used American oak, medium char barrels, a unique and complex taste for those who enjoy sipping spirits.

Some areas of Scotland are charged at a higher rate, including Scottish Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland.
