About this deal

Audio Response: 4 – 40,000 Hz frequency range, 115 dB signal-to-noise ratio, output level 2.0Vrms, distortion < 0.0018% The 2000s also included Needle Search, and a built-in quantize feature which ensures cue points are set accurately and automatically.

For the travelling DJ, the unit was multi-system, outputting both PAL and NTSC video signals for near-global compatibility. The 900 was introduced as a successor to the CDJ-800 series, but was more like a moderately more affordable CDJ-2000 (which it was released alongside). Nowadays, the CDJ-2000NXS2 is the king of the booth. Large-scale festivals and clubs all over the world hold a set of “Nexus” or “Nexus Two” players. Well… that's subjective, and the answer will vary between DJs. Controllers can indeed offer better value, especially when comparing onboard features and price-points. Other improvements included a bigger, brighter, 100 dots waveform display (instead of the earlier 50 dots waveform), and the ability to record loops into Hot Cue slots instead of just cue points. Jog wheel resistance was made adjustable to suit different styles of handling. Also, the unit was changed to handle SD card media (for storing cues and loops) as opposed to the earlier MMC format.. CDJ-800 (and MK2)

Audio Sources: USB storage (FAT, FAT32, HFS+), SD Card, iOS or Android, Mac or Windows PC, optical drive (CD, CD-R/RW, DVD±R/RW/R-DL) You can’t miss the path that the music industry has taken from vinyl to CD’s to music files (e.g. MP3’s) and now the future looks set to be amongst the clouds therefore it was justifiable to think the iconic turntable was considered a thing of the past, retro even. That was until 2014 when Pioneer DJ released the PLX-1000 the next generation analogue turntable marking their 20 th year in the industry. CDJ – a line of media players that allow for control and manipulation of CDs (or other digital audio formats) using an emulated vinyl turntable surface. Morrell, Dan (2010). Be A Top DJ In 10 Easy Steps w/Audio CD. Mixmastered Records. ISBN 978-0-557-49982-3. It’ seems possible that this was intended to replace the CDJ-200 with a scratch-friendly unit (note the same three effects… jet, roll, and wah) and modernize it a bit, but Pioneer had different plans for its lineup… (such as Rekordbox support).

A limited-edition model was also released, which replaced the orange illumination with cobalt blue. CDJ-2000 Dual USB ports for both PC and Mac grants you the ability to have two laptops connected simultaneously; this ensures that DJ changeovers are no longer over-complicated and can be executed with ease. The DDJ 1000 digital controller also doubles as a stand-alone DJ mixer thanks to four external input terminals that let you connect additional DJ players and analogue turntables without the need for a PC/Mac. The two microphone inputs allow you to include an MC in your sets without having to worry about a complicated setup. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs enable you to connect to a range of outboard gear such as speakers and front-of-house mixers while a booth output lets you monitor your master output. Wi-Fi Music: play music from your smartphone, tablet, PC or Mac wirelessly via Rekordbox (requires wired connection to a WiFi router). Specifications: Audio files can now be shared and played on up to six CDJ-3000 units from USB devices and SD cards when syncing them with a six-channel mixer (e.g. DJM-V10), thanks to the Gigabit Ethernet connection for Pro DJ Link. There is also a lighting feature available that is connected to Pro DJ Link where sounds can be synchronised with lights. The media player can send phrase analysis information to rekordbox, which means the lighting effects can be controlled using an RB-DMX1 remote which is available separately. New and Improved Touchscreen DisplayThe Pioneer CDJ-900 was announced [20] simultaneously with Pioneer CDJ-2000 on September 17, 2009. The player had been available since the end of December 2009. [20] A year after the CDJ-500, Pioneer DJ released the DJM-500, known as the world’s first DJ mixer for pro-DJs with Beat Effect. 2001 saw the CDJ-1000 the world’s original DJ player with real-time scratch. It then wasn’t until 2009 when Pioneer released the CDJ-2000 which was the first CDJ to support Pioneer’s Rekordbox software. In 2011, the DJM-900NXS became the 4-channel, club standard mixer followed in 2012 by the club standard CDJ, Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS. At the end of 2012 the now ever popular DDJ-SX was released followed a year and a half later by its larger and superior brother the Pioneer DDJ-SZ, both designed for use with Serato DJ software. Finally, coming later this year, the eagerly anticipated DDJ-RX and DDJ-RZ are due for release from Pioneer DJ, November and December respectively. Both DJ controllers have been designed for use with Pioneer’s new Rekordbox DJ software which is due for release in October 2015. This player allowed DJs to experience a fairly standard club setup, at a much more reasonable price point.
