RIVER 2 uses LiFePO4 batteries, a newer subset of lithium-ion batteries. Compared to other lithium-ion batteries, batteries with LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) chemistry require no maintenance, are safer, and have a longer lifespan. The RIVER 2’s maximum solar input is 110W. While using a solar panel with higher-rated power might not damage the PPS, you won’t generate any additional electricity — you’ll end up wasting any solar energy captured that exceeds the 110W solar input cutoff point. At that price, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a competing product that offers the same level of build quality, performance, and features. Heavy items will require the recipient to make arrangements to take delivery of the goods and may require the recipient to help the courier unload the item. For items that are delivered on a pallet the courier will leave the pallet as close to your door as possible. Since the RIVER 2’s capacity is 256Wh, you’d divide that by the max watts of the USB-C input/output: 256Wh / 60W = 4.3 hrs.However, if you’re powering something like a lightbulb at 60 running watts, you could get over 4 hours of power. The River 2 Pro may not be one of EcoFlow’s flagship models, but it still has some features that you might only expect on higher-end units. For instance, it has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to monitor and interact with the device remotely using a smartphone app. This is common on larger, much more expensive power stations, but I was happy to see it included here as well.
