About this deal

My camera was sent off on September 11th and I got a message from Wex on the 25th informing me that Nikon hadn't been able to replicate the issues with the batteries that they were using and had asked for my batteries to be sent in for testing. When I originally took the camera in I also took my grip and batteries but Wex didn't send those off - they just sent the body. I'd recommend that if you get the camera serviced by Nikon you also send them your batteries. Nikon should have my batteries now so it'll be interesting to see what they say, but I've heard that other people have sent their cameras in, Nikon announce 'nothing is wrong', yet when the customer received their camera whatever the issue was with it had been magically resolved. Seems that Nikon doesn't like to admit when things go wrong, but they do do something to fix the issue. Here we see the shiny new D500 next to the venerable old D300S. Overall size is very similar – the D300S with squarer shoulders and rounder hips. The old boy is noticeably heftier at 840g versus 760g. I always appreciated the weightiness and solid feel of the D300/D300S. It meant business. The Nikon D500 is one of my all-time favorite Nikon DSLRs thanks to its excellent image quality and performance. Enthusiasts and even newcomers who want to step up to a higher end APS-C camera can do so thanks to its more affordable price. One of the other big features Nikon is touting is its Snapbridge system that uses Bluetooth LE (a low-power variant of Bluetooth also known as Bluetooth Smart), and Wi-Fi to maintain a connection between the camera and a smart device. This includes the ability to auto-transfer images from the camera, as well as initiating the Wi-Fi connection for remote shooting or manual image transfer. Context Ich nutze den Griff als Stadion-Fußballfotograf wirklich extrem. Er ist auch bei dieser Nutzung immer noch sehr gut in Schuss.

The novice scene modes (which I never used and got in the way) on the left dial are replaced with more useful controls keeping in line with the other Nikon pro bodies. The Nikon D500 has a 20-megapixel APS-C sensor with an approximately 1.5x crop factorrelative to full-frame. (Nikon calls its APS-C sensors “DX” and its full-frame sensors “FX.” See more at Nikon DX vs FX.) Ich freue mich natürlich über den Vorteil eine längere Einsatzzeit der Kamera nutzen zu können, obwohl dies alleine kein Kaufgrund gewesen wäre. As for video, I mentioned the video because somebody else did regarding other brands. The fact remains, if you want it for video even the A7 III isn’t perfect. It works out of the box with no issues. Not pictured is the AA battery tray I've yet to test this to see if it works, and I've no 3rd party batteries to test but I have a feeling that as long as a genuine one is in the camera whats in the grip wont matter. PS .... If any of you guys use a third party grip are there any particular makes that you`d recommend To setup your own custom shooting modes you have to use Nikon's "Photo shooting menu bank" and "Custom settings bank" and there are four here, named A, B, C, and D. It's a shame that you can't setup a custom shooting mode, like you can on the Nikon D7200with two user modes (and other cameras with a normal mode dial, such as the 7D Mark II with 3 user modes), and you can only switch between shooting modes of P, A, S and M. The most similar camera to the D500 within Nikon’s own lineup is the D7500. The D7500 is a slightly lower-end camera and part of the D7000-series DSLRs. However, the two cameras have the same sensor, meaning that their image quality and high ISO performance is identical. Which one is right for you? To help answer that question, here’s a table of their most important differences: Camera Feature The Nikon D500 has a huge menu with hundreds, if not thousands, of possible settings. Where do you even start?

The shutter release button is the only disappointment. Tactile wise it does not feel good to push. it feels cheap and not as responsive than the main camera body's button. The Nikon D500 is the long awaited update to the Nikon D300s, and is a professional APS-C Digital SLR with high speed continuous shooting, and the latest Wi-Fi connectivity. How does the Nikon D500 hold up today, given that it was announced in 2016? Even though some of its specifications lag behind the newest mirrorless cameras, the Nikon D500 remains arguably the most advanced APS-C DSLR ever made. It might stay that way forever, since most camera companies have now shifted focus toward mirrorless. See more at DSLR vs Mirrorless Cameras. Abhilfe schaffte da ein Batteriegriff.I don't know because I don't have the grip yet and don't own EN-EL18a batteries. But I mentioned I mentioned that the specs for the 3rd party grips I've looked at specifically don't mention EN-EL18A, only AA and EN-EL15. Somebody who owns both might be able to clarify the situation.
