About this deal
Join us on this incredible journey towards a more sustainable future. Together, we can create a community where waste becomes a resource, and nature thrives. Let's make a difference, one step at a time!" Real Christmas trees can be disposed of at your nearest Household Waste Recycling Centre. Information on the six centres available in the Caerphilly area can be found here. Operated by CWM Environmental, the centre has a number of incredible green and community initiatives, from creating refuse-derived fuel to supporting bees and wildflowers. These are: Trostre (Llanelli), Wernddu (Ammanford), Nantycaws (Carmarthen) and Whitland - and you can find information on opening times for each here. Caerphilly County Borough Council is advising local residents to cut their tree up into manageable pieces and place them out on the kerbside for collection.
Batteries must never go in a skip. This is because they contain dangerous chemicals and metals, so they must be disposed of separately and responsibly. CWM’s household Recycling centres can accept these, charges may apply. Your delivery and collection fee are included in the cost of the skip along with any permit costs if selected. Due to more waste being produced at Christmas time, the council has agreed that residents can put out one extra bag of household waste for their first collection after Christmas Day from December 27 to January 7.Road permits can take 3-5 working days to process so please bear this in mind when selecting your preferred delivery date. If your permit cannot be available for your selected delivery date, we will notify you and select a new delivery date. CWM requests three months written notice to accept cancellation of the contract after the initial 12 months contract. Composting is a natural process that converts your kitchen and garden waste into a valuable nutrient rich food for your garden. Up to a third of your household waste can be composted at home, reducing the need for collection and further processing.
Should you have excess waste to be collected please book this in with the office prior to your collection day, excess waste will be chargeable. If excess waste has not been booked in via the office the drivers will not collect any excess waste next to / on top of bins
