The lightweight of the Neewer 660 also makes it ideal for use as a video light too and although the majority of owners do seem to be based around various photography niches, the 660 seems to also hold a great reputation amongst videographers too. All in all, the Neewer 2.4G 660 LED lighting kit is a versatile kit that provides a lot of value for its price. While it is not perfect (especially the stands), we highly recommended it to anyone who needs lots of light for photography, video, or streaming and does not have the budget to invest in high-end photography lighting.
The 2.4G version of the Neewer 660 bi-color LED panels comes with a remote. It uses the 2.4Ghz frequency for wireless communication, hence the 2.4G. Although the cheaper lighting solutions on the market still tend to have a reputation for having a poor build quality even though this realistically stopped about a decade ago, we still see people instantly presume that anything under the Three Hundred Dollar mark will have a low build quality. Although this is not specific to just the Neewer 660 but pretty much all modern lighting units at its price point these days, the build quality really is great for the price you are paying. One knob is for adjusting the color temperature (3200-5600K). The other is for adjusting the brightness of the LEDs.Built-in Applicable Scenes Modes: This RGB light adopts a constant current control design which brings better effect for video shooting with no stroboscopic phenomenon； The control panel comes with an LCD screen that displays the current color temperature and brightness. This comes in handy when you want to set the color temperature in your camera settings or Lightroom later on. The most important thing in any LED lighting kit is undoubtedly the LED panels themselves. The panels in the Neewer bi-color 660 LED lighting kit come with (you guessed it) 660 LEDs. Half of them in warm white and the other half with a cooler daylight color temperature. Sturdy & Stable Stand- The light stands are adjustable from 3ft/0.9m to 6.5ft/2m in height. Strong enough to hold the panel lights yet compact enough to take on the go. It’s also easy to set up and use. Consist of 660pcs SMD LED beads (170pcscool/170pcs warm/320pcs RGB beads), Bi-color can adjust the color temperature from 3200K to 5600K, RGB can adjust the hue output from 0°to 360° and color saturation from 0% to 100%

On top of this, there are a ton of additional third-party adaptors and connectors for the mounting system available to allow you to mount the light on pretty much anything you can imagine. Although these adaptors are probably not required if you are planning on using the Neewer 660 for studio based photography as you will have decent equipment with you, if you plan to use the light outdoors or on location then they can be great to help you get the lights mounted. LED BULBS- With 330 White and 330 Yellow LED long-lasting bulbs, this light illuminates a variable white balance from Tungsten-Daylight from 3200 to 5600K The barn door style panels on the light can also be easily folded into position to get the effect you want out of the light too. One the flip side of this, they also act as a layer of protection if you are transporting your 660 to a new location when closed over the main LED panel. The actual LEDs are mounted in place securely and we have not been able to find a single report from anyone using the Neewer 660 saying that they have had an issue with their LEDs falling out of place or becoming lose over time. The battery life depends on the energy capacity of the batteries used. People report about 1 hour of use with a 6300mAh NP-F970 Li-ion battery with the panel at full power. Using a second battery and/or running the lights at a lower brightness will increase battery life further. Two Power Source Options- NL660S runs on mains power via the AC adapter (included) or one or two NP-F Li-ion batteries (not included) when you need to do photography and video shooting outside
