About this deal

The iconic bunny is celebrating its 120 th anniversary this year and will grace the front of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Hot Cross Bun Bar – new this year.

The Cadbury Worldwide Hide will also return, enabling people across the UK to hide an egg virtually anywhere in the world using Google Maps. The brand will be visible through in-store PoS, as well as a fully integrated campaign across TV, outdoor and social media. Who doesn't love mini eggs? Those and many other Cadbury easter eggs are gluten free, if you miss Cadbury caramel bars you may be delighted to know that caramel eggs are gluten free unlike the bars. We can't have chocolate oranges but we can have the one variety of the mini eggs so make the most of these Terrys gluten free treats while you can. Would I buy it again? Yes Asda The Asda Extra Special Easter Egg trio did not get my vote! (Image: Andrew Nuttall / North Wales Live) The biggest of all the chocolate orange eggs I managed to find on my travels was in Morrisons. Like other shops, the own-brand range was limited primarily to their 'Best' range with other treat options such as single chocolate lollipops, an egg hunt kit or bite-sized eggs being cheaper.

And fans are ecstatic that B&M and Tesco are now selling the chocolate bar as part of their Easter egg range. Other retailers may be selling them, but so far these two are the only ones to have been mentioned on social media. This list doesn't include any regular "available all the time" chocolate, you can find any gluten free chocolate that is available all year round in this blog - UK Gluten Free Chocolate and Sweets

Would I buy it again? No Aldi The budget retailer Aldi gave a good go at providing a luxury treat this Easter (Image: Andrew Nuttall / North Wales Live) Retailers need to signpost the season early and use social media to make customers aware their favourite Easter products are on shelf, says Susan Nash, trade communications manager at Mondelez. This year Morrisons range is very disappointing, the majority of their own brand Easter chocolates carry may contains expect for the dedicated free from egg.

The most expensive egg of the bunch - but, in the interest of fairness, cheaper options were available with the brand's Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar range. The luxury range offered three flavours - with chocolate orange, caramel latte and dark chocolate with peanut and pretzel. A tried and tested classic, Cadbury is a name most people go straight to when thinking of chocolate in the UK. I opted for the chocolate orange Twirl egg for my test this week. Nash said approximately 10% of Easter Eggs sales were driven by medium and large-sized eggs in 2021, as more shoppers chose to trade up.

The Asda Extra Special Easter Egg trio did not get my vote! (Image: Andrew Nuttall / North Wales Live) If I had to choose a favourite, it would probably be the sea salt and honey option which was the least powerful in terms of the flavour from its luxury add-ins. I think it would have been better for the more compact eggs to focus on the chocolate alone rather than add in more complex flavours. If you were looking for something a bit more luxurious than a Dairy Milk this Easter without breaking the bank then I'd recommend Aldi. Mondelez International has announced its Cadbury Easter 2022 line-up, starting with impulse to help convenience retailers capitalise on the second largest confectionery season after Christmas.I love Kinder Surprise and all the Surprise easter range is gluten free along with some other Kinder products. Retailers should also meet the needs of shoppers on the traditional gift mission as Easter Sunday approaches, with shell eggs an essential part of the product mix for a ‘gift finish’. Residents both young and old look at the annual event as an opportunity to gorge on their favourite sweet treats, both giving and receiving stunning confectionary for all to enjoy throughout. The new launch joins the rest of the Peter Rabbit range, which includes Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon with Oreo, Cadbury Dairy Milk Bunny Orange Mousse and the Cadbury Hollows range, comprising of White Oreo Hollow Bunny and Cadbury Dairy Milk Holly Bunny, available in 50g and 100g formats. Although it's traditionally a Christian celebratory event, Easter across the UK is associated with fluffy white bunny rabbits, hot cross buns and chocolate Easter Eggs. Marks and Spencer's Extremely Chocolate Orange Explosion did not disappoint this reporter! (Image: Andrew Nuttall / North Wales Live) Like I said above, most supermarkets I tried appeared to go for a luxury appearance in their own range of Easter eggs. Unfortunately, the eggs I got from Asda did not leave me wanting more. The ‘How do you not eat yours?’ campaign will run across in-store PoS and via online and outdoor advertising, highlighting the promotion to consumers. While Reeses eggs are fine (as are regular peanut butter cups and pieces) but the hollow easter eggs carry a may contain.
