About this deal

The TAKSTAR PRO 82 features 40 mm dynamic drivers, neodymium NdFeB magnets, a bass level control switch and detachable cables. So lets talk about sound. I cant say these are as impressing as like DT880's for sure, but i don't think you can find any pair that will be this comfortable and this good in terms of sound quality at the same time for this price.

The Takstar Pro 82 is a very comfortable headphone. Weighing at 237g without the cable, the headphone feels even lighter than its own weight. Overall the comfort of the 82 is an improvement from its predecessor the 80 Pro. The second headset seemed to sound more even on the sound than the first one…the first one always sounded a tad more V-shaped over the second one. Of course it didn’t help that in one of my repair jobs, I damaged one of the vents that happens to be hidden where the mounting holes were inside the cups later on. Oops.

What we like:

And sure, I’ve said in the past: Any headset can sound better after some EQ love. The default sound should count for more, and it does. That said, the MH752’s wide soundstage is impossible to reproduce on a lesser headset, and that alone helps Cooler Master stand out even if its flat studio sound might need some aftercare. IDG / Hayden Dingman

Bad news here is distortion especially around 5 kHz where we have a dip in the frequency response as well: They have decent clarity especially in the treble region and for a small part of the bass region there is very good resolution, like little short flashes of brilliance. Vocals are actually very very well done and actually sound "airy" but unlike the treble and bass it's weakness outweighs its brilliance; by this I mean every so often you will find music that doesn't sound "right" vocally. Pro 80 - The treble has a sharp dropoff of 8dB from 3.5kHz till 4kHz, followed by a sharp rise of 15dB till 5.5kHz Takstar includes a graph with the headphones, and claims that each port setting increases bass response by an additional 3dB. You can dismantle the headsets. If I can tear down every bit of the headphone right down to the headband’s cushions you can too.I have no idea why the third setting is there. It’s comically out-of-balance, and the bass is not hard-hitting enough for it to satisfy basshead listeners. It just turns these into a dark messy mush with some sparkle on the top. You might have fun with it, but it comes close to ruining all the good aspects of the sound here.

If you’re after a smooth, easy listening experience, well… neither of these is 100 percent ideal. But the Cloud II is closer to that for most listeners. Second, the Creative Aurvana Live headphones. This a popular headphone and after comparing it to the Takstar Pro 82, I found some notable differences between the two headphones. First, the earpads of Creative Aurvana Live has are small compared to the Pro 82. The comfort of the Creative Aurvana is nothing compared to the Pro 82. The sound isolation of the Creative Aurvana Live is also very poor. The sound quality of the Takstar Pro 82 is more superior than the Creative Aurvana, but the Creative Aurvana is more balanced. Overall, the Takstar has more details and better quality. However, I have read that changing works greatly to improve the sound quality of the Creative Aurvana Live. 3. Takstar Pro 82 vs. Audio Technica ATH-MSR7Full Boosted- Fat Mid-bass bloom. Fun, but it overshadows the rest of the mix. Sub-bass rumbles with more authority but bleeds into the mids.

The included attachable mic cable is kind of a disappointment, it doesn't sound very good. Im sorry I still don't have mic tests. But it sounds like your average (maybe even below average) headset mic. Useable but I wouldn't use this for anything but chatting in game. A step above the G933 but a step down from the MH751. The TAKSTAR PRO 82 are highly comfortable over-ear headphones due to a combination of factors like: large earpads, secure but flexible clamping, soft cushion and padding on both the earmuffs and the headband. The response to EQ on this mode, transformed their bass into a gigantically punchy and deep one with some rumble and impact. The response to EQ on this mode, helped clean up their lower mids, brighten up their highs and add much more punch to their mid-bass. If you’re a detail hound, and you want to do some critical listening on a budget…then these are great. They have a good sound, and excellent comfort. Treble could be an issue with electronic songs with V-shaped headphone. The Pro 82 does have a good and clean bass extension although it does not go low like TH900. It also doesn’t have those shrilling treble that fatigue your ears like TH900, HD800 or most Beyerdynamic headphones. The treble is there but never harsh that makes it works perfectly with EDM or electronic genre like Harbor by Kap Slap.
