About this deal

And in testing, the router's 5GHz and 6GHz bands individually had sustained speeds equivalent to a wired Gigabit connection after overhead at a close range of 10 feet (3m) or closer. The rate degraded slightly at 40 feet (12 meters) out (within a line of sight), as shown on the charts. HomeShield includes the Free Basic Plan. Fees apply for the Pro Plan. The XE75 shares the same features set as the previous Deco set. It comes with support for Dynamic DNS— in this case, it only supports TP-Link’s free domain –, IP reservation, and port-forwarding. There’s also a simple QoS engine where you can add individual devices to the priority list. The TP-Link Archer AXE75 is the first genuinely affordable 6E choice alongside the best Wi-Fi 6E routers. Its six adjustable antennas provide a seriously impressive wireless signal with enough range to cover a 2-3-bedroom home without issue. If you've already upgraded to a modern phone with Wi-Fi 6E support (via Android Central) or plan to introduce compatible devices into your home, this router is one of the best upgrades for your network. A separate modem or gateway may be required. PPPoE, Static IP, and Dynamic IP are supported. PPTP and L2TP may also be supported under certain configurations. HomeShield includes the Free Basic Plan. Fees apply for the Pro Plan. Visit tp-link.com/homeshield for more information. WiFi 6E allows for 7 (3 for European Union Member states) additional 160 MHz channels, offeringup to 1,200 MHz (480 MHz for European Union Member states) of additional spectrum for 6 GHz WiFi.In real-world additional anecdotal testing, the Deco XE75’s performance generally topped at around 300Mbps at the satellite unit and close to 900Mbps at the router unit. Of course, the actual numbers fluctuated a great deal. The heat maps show that the Archer AXE75 was able to provide a relatively strong 2.4GHz signal throughout our test house, but the signal became weaker in parts of the garage. The router’s 5GHz band also weakened in the garage but showed slightly better range. Indeed, the networking vendor made all kinds of buzz about the new standard in early 2021 with nothing to show during the entire year. And then, it recommitted the Wi-Fi 6E promise in early 2022. There’s no Multi-Gig port which is a big disappointment. And there’s no USB port either. TP-Link Deco XE75: Hardware specifications

Saving clients' battery power requires clients to also support the 802.11ax Wi-Fi standard. Actual power reduction may vary as a result of network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors. Several new features are introduced in the Bluetooth Core Specification 5.0 and 5.3Release, including 2× faster speed and 4× broader coverage compared with Bluetooth 4.

The router had the same coverage as the AX73 on the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands. You can expect it to blanket a home of roughly 2000 ft² (186 m²) when placed at the center. But your mileage will vary. Fast performance, ease of use, and 6GHz Wi-Fi make the TP-Link Archer AXE75 a smart choice for users looking for a future-proof mainstream Wi-Fi router. Granted, it doesn’t offer multi-gig networking ports or link aggregation, but these features are typically found on more expensive routers. The AXE75’s impressive throughput and good signal range, combined with strong parental controls and a user-friendly mobile app, are enough to merit an Editors’ Choice award for the nascent category of affordable Wi-Fi 6E routers. Do NOT turn off the power during the upgrade process, as it may cause permanent damage to the product. But other than that, the setup process proved smooth in my trial. The app’s setup wizard covered all necessary steps in great detail, and I got the system up and running within less than 10 minutes without a hitch. You can place the hardware units at a relatively short distance — some 65 feet (20 meters) — from each other within a line of sight.

This new system will deliver for those wanting a reliable wireless mesh for their modest network. And if you have wired your home, you can expect consistent Gigabit-class sustained speeds.

It's recommended that users stop all Internet applications on the computer, or simply disconnect Internet line from the device before the upgrade. A Wi-Fi connection between two direct parties occurs in a single band, using one fixed channel, at any given time. This principle applies to all existing Wi-Fi standards, up to Wi-Fi 6E.
