About this deal

If you only clean your hardware every once in a while, the DataVac ED500P might be overkill. But if you prefer to keep a meticulous workspace, then this is an eco-friendly way to clean your keyboard on the daily. Simply plug the device into mains power and benefit from endless clean and powerful air flow. It never runs out like canned air spray saving you money. The MetroVac ED500-ESD Electric Duster should be your go-to if you have expensive PC hardware that you want to keep clean. This powerful electric duster is powered by a 500 Watt motor that delivers about 0.75 horsepower, which puts the air-blowing capabilities of the ED500P on par with some small electric leaf blowers. It pushes air through fast and if it was just a little bigger it really could serve as a mini leaf blower. If you are a tech professional on the go, then you may not always have the luxury of an available outlet to plug in an electric duster. That’s where the Opolar Cordless Electric Air Duster comes in handy. This device has a 6000mAh battery that allows it to run for up to 30 minutes without being plugged in. This provides much more maneuverability without sacrificing the power you get from larger units like the DataVac DP500P. Electric Dusters are much safer than compressed air cans because the only thing coming out of them is air, but compressed air cans may emit the chemical liquid that is contained inside them, and this may cause damage to your computer parts and electronics. Also, the chemicals used in compressed air cans are very deadly and not safe for the environment. So, this is definitely not a green way to clean your computer or electronics. Selecting a good electric air duster is very important if you care for your computer or electronics, so here I am going to list down the best electric dusters that you can get for yourself.

Note: An electric duster is also known as an electric computer duster, electric dust blower, computer dust blower, PC dust blower, electric air blower, or an electric compressed air duster. Best Electric Air Dusters for Computers & Electronics This version of the DataVac ED500P comes with three different nozzles: a concentrator nozzle, an air-flare nozzle, and an air-pin pointer. It also comes with a four-piece detailing tool kit for hand cleaning crumb caches. The air-pin pointer most closely resembles the function of a can of compressed air except that it has a bendable stem that can be used to direct air around tight corners. Using an upgraded 550 Watt power unit, the Xpert delivers an intense jet of clean and filtered air through its highly directional internal channels and nozzle attachments. This combination of air flow accuracy and pure power enables deeper and more thorough cleaning. Note: As per with my previous review, I have taken some pictures of my own but will have to upload and update them when I have the time. (01/09/2018)So… despite my usual colourful language and slight occasional exaggerations, this electric air duster is so powerful there won’t be any question if it’s powerful enough. If something, you should pay attention not to have the smallest nozzle too close to the most delicate of things you might clean with this, so that you don’t end up breaking your equipment! Minor issues. Loud, not terrible, good trade off for the power & no more need for use once products. Basically this is well suited for cleaning anything that you can clean by blowing air into to get the dust out! Holy horsepower!

Generally speaking, you should do a light dusting every three to six months, but you may want to clean your case more frequently if you keep your desktop on the floor, where dust tends to accumulate. The same applies if you have pets in the house, as the hair and dander they shed can do a number on your rig's internal components. Electric Duster VS Compressed Air Can Not sure what to look for when it comes to the best electric air duster? Take a look at this buyer’s guide. Power As I've mentioned above, these electric air dusters are quite strong and they should be treated with the respect you would give to any other power tool. They are technically loud enough to warrant ear protection during extended use and should not be used around pets or children under the age of 5.VERSATILE: Choose between 4 uniquely shaped, non-static nozzle attachments for enhanced and precise air direction and control. Use the longer attachments for pin point accuracy and the wide fan attachment for broad surface cleaning. Perfect for cleaning PC's, Laptops, Phones, Games Consoles, Servers, Models, Desks, Ornaments and Household items. It has a built-in air filter that removes particulate matter from the incoming air and a variable power control that allows you to control the power of the airstream, making it easy to go light on delicate fans and CPUs. This also makes it easy to regulate the two unavoidable side effects of noise and heat. The X3 Hurricane produces plenty of both. The ED500-ESD has a powerful 500-Watt motor and the same 0.75 horsepower rating for its ability to push air out. This device basically sets the bar for what to look for out of an electric air duster. Unfortunately, that also means that the ED500-ESD is quite loud. You shouldn’t use this electric duster around pets or children under the age of 5. It also runs hot but this isn’t a big issue thanks to its sturdy plastic handle. While some electric air dusters have just one speed setting, others have a few different speeds to choose from. If you have a number of electronics that need dusting, a duster with more speed settings is best. The lower speeds can be used for expensive and delicate items, while higher speeds are suitable for large amounts of dust. Weight Pros: Great build quality, Great performance, Highest Airflow, Long cord, Speed Adjustment, Multiple nozzle attachments.

And while air is totally harmless to computers, static charge in the air is a whole different story. Most all of these electric dusters are made with ABS plastic, which doesn't carry much of an electric charge but you should still be mindful of this and ground yourself by touching your PC case (or any other large metal object) before doing any cleaning. Worst of all, cans of compressed air are single-use and have to be specially recycled because they are made from steel. Never mind the fact that when you are using them, you are literally expelling greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Not cool.

How Often Should You Dust Your PC?

As you probably can gather from the title, I absolutely love this thing (yes, even if it sounds a bit sad and/or weird) – but at the same time I feel so stupid for buying and buying cans of compressed air over and over again…. Just should have done the investment for an electric one ages ago and I would have saved so much money! The air intake on the bottom of the device has a soft spongey filter to prevent dust getting in and harming the motor. While it comes with a spare and you can replace the filter. It can clog up pretty fast and this can force you to stop to clear it. Like I said its a small thing but I though it was worth mentioning.
