About this deal

Other standout features? A sturdy belt, detailed workout stats to help you keep tabs on your progress, and all manner of classes (there’s everything from HIIT to yoga) when you don’t fancy running. Plus, you can create your own running routes anywhere in the world thanks to clever Google maps integration. There are 19 onboard workouts built into the console providing a really good set of training options. With the workouts being divided into practical and easy to understand categories the Omega Z makes it easy to select the workout that’s going help you reach your goals. Instead of fancy names like ‘rolling hills’ the selection is between manual mode, 4 pulse based options, 3 calory burn based options, 2 interval training based options, 1 weight Loss option, 2 target heart rate workouts, 2 target step based workouts and 3 target distance based options. In addition there’s also 1 custom option that enables you to create and save your own program. We found the workouts enjoyable and varied enough to keep you entertained as well as delivering a workout that really gets the job done. The simple controls mean that it could not be easier to operate too so it’s very much a case of step up and run here, with no fuss at all. Treadmills are always a popular piece of fitness equipment at gyms. Even if you're new to working out, most people have the ability to hop on a running machine. If you have enough space at home, a treadmill can be a versatile cardio machine that can help you build your fitness over time, allowing you to increase your stamina and endurance. TREADMILLS

Are you afraid to start over every day because you do not have a profile to store your progress? That is a problem of the past because this machine comes with two user profiles that stores information such as your age, gender, weight and top. If you’ve previously viewed the treadmill as more of a torture device rather than a valued piece of fitness kit, it’s not entirely your fault. ‘Treadmills have got a bad rep because they’re often the first piece of equipment we use as a gym newbie,’ says Reid-Simms. ‘With so many people scared off, they get overlooked for what they’re good at.’ But your time on the tread needn’t be dull. ‘Tempo runs or interval runs are a perfect choice for the treadmill,’ running coach Reid-Simms says.We are generally not a fan of folding treadmills but the EzRun strikes a good balance between having the convenience of a folding treadmill and the functionality and the stability of a non-folding treadmill. The range of workouts can be enlarged by linking the treadmill to the Kinomap app. This software allows you to watch runners’ scenic videos from around the world while you run, as well as following workouts where the app can directly control the EnduRun. With a top speed of 20kp/h (12.4mp/h) and a real 0-12% incline, you can push yourself and burn more calories while walking, jogging, or running. It’s also comfortable and safe on the joints – it is firm with a little give and some decent cushioning. This is important for anyone, vital to those with a fair amount of bodyfat to lose. A less forgiving surface will put the weight of their considerable mass in motion into their joints in quite a jarring, ruinous way. That shouldn’t happen with the EzRun – ankles, knees and hips need not be afraid. DKN Technology are a leading European brand that are renowned for producing well built, good looking pieces of fitness equipment.

Boasting a max speed of 20kmph (that’s a 4:40min per mile pace) and a respectable 15% incline, it’s suitable for couch-to-5kers and speedsters alike. There are tonnes of pre-set workouts to choose from, or if you prefer interactive coaching, there’s a device holder and built-in speakers for streaming sessions. Alternatively, you could just binge Netflix while you get your sweat on... It has a top user weight of 130kg, which is fairly standard, though the quality and weight of the build means that anyone up to this point will feel very much like they are in safe hands. However, for beginner to intermediate level runners, looking to balance training requirements with spatial comfort at home, it is perfect. It is perfect, too, for larger athletes looking to build a caloric deficit and lose weight safely and conveniently. The screen isn’t as big, but you can still enjoy the extensive range of iFit classes in all their glory, and unlike on the Pro-Form, you can rotate the screen towards your exercise mat for workouts. The mechanical incline is impressive and can be controlled manually or as part of one of the 15 pre-set programmes. The treadmill is powered by a true 1.75HP continuous duty motor with a 3.5HP peak. Although this is considerably less than its nearest rival the JTX Sprint 7, it does surpass the 1.5HP minimum that we would be happy to recommend at this price point and it is cheaper than its competitor. It does match the JTX Sprint 7 for speed though and can reach a top speed of 20KPH. Heart rate measurement via hand grip sensors and Bluetooth® Smart wireless receiver (chest strap optional) Like most home-use treadmills, the EnduRun requires assembly. Thankfully, like other DKN treadmills, the setup is simple. The hardest part comes before starting the assembly: Getting the boxed machine with a weight of 135kg to the right place! This weight of the box is the first clue that this is a serious treadmill! After that, the assembly is simple and is complete in just four steps. The diagrams in the manual are nice and clear and while it’s certainly a two person job, there’s nothing in the slightest bit complicated about the build so we had everything ready to go in just under 30 minutes.

The JTX Sprint-3 is JTX’s entry-level treadmill. While this particular model did not make it into our Best Treadmills buying guide, other models such as the Sprint 7, Sprint 9, and Club-Max Commercial did – so if you can stretch your budget just a little more, we highly recommend doing so and at least investing in the Sprint 7.The EzRun also has Polar connectivity, too, in case you would prefer to use a chest strap (this will also enable you to follow any one of three specific heart rate pre-set programmes, keeping you always within your target heart range, making weight management that much easier.) I tend not to use programmes as I like to control what I’m doing manually – I think (!) I can be honest with myself to be able to do so effectively. Continuing to visually inspect the assembled machine, the design of the console also stands out: There is a large main panel (which is standard) and then there is a smaller panel mounted on the front it featuring all of the controls. Apart from looking great, this is a very clever innovation as it makes all the buttons needed to be accessed whilst running much easier to reach! Other features include long handles which can be re-assuring when at top speed if you need them. There is also a port for your MP3 to use with the built-in speakers which is great if you like to run to music. It’s also an impressive 52cm wide (one of the widest at this price point), meaning that larger athletes need not worry at all. Everyone should feel comfortable using the EzRun.
