About this deal

The battery life of the XLIM C seems very good for a device like this. It comes with an internal battery listed at 900 mAh and a charge rate listed at 2A. The port is Type-C, and it’s located at the bottom of the device, so it has to lie down while charging. Not a big deal, but I prefer devices that can stand up while charging. The transparent PCTG plastic, makes it easy to view your e-liquid levels so you know when it is time for a top up. This prevents the pod running dry and the coil from burning out prematurely. There can be no doubt that OXVA produce some of the best kits in the game when it comes to small pod devices. The Xlim C really is a great kit but I remain unconvinced it’s better than it’s predecessors. The replaceebale coil seems unecessary and I can’t see any upside to it. Although the Xlim C doesn’t leak and the coils last well, it does make it prone to these things. The flavour production is incredible, just like disposables with the right liquid. Battery life is strong and an adjustable airflow is of course welcomed. All round, this is an excellent kit for beginners. This is where a big change has happened – you can remove and replace the coils – which for me is excellent as it saves waste (you discard the coil instead of the whole pod). The built-in 900mAh battery boasts 5V/2A charging; the device charges from 0% to 80% in just 30 minutes and can hold up to 2 days’ charge. The device is charged via the USB Type-C port located on the base of the device (a cable is included with kit). The light on the power button will change from green to blue and finally to red to as the battery depletes.

OXVA XLIM C Kit

When working with Li-ion (Lithium-ion), LiPo (Lithium-ion Polymer) and any rechargeable cells, please be cautious and carefully use as they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled. Please make sure that you have great knowledge on all rechargeable batteries before you use them. Always charge batteries at the clean and fire-proof surface. Never leave charging batteries unattended. If you see that there are visible damages on the batteries, please do not use. Always keep, store and transport the rechargeable cells in a safe, non-conductive container in a controlled environment Battery indicator = this changes colour according to the battery charge remaining whilst vaping – 65-100% = Green LED, 30-65% = Blue LED and less than 30% = Red LED. I love surprises which is handy as I wasn’t expecting OXVA to send in the XLIM C kit. To make it even better, it was purple, and that is always a decent way to instantly get in my good books. But on the flip side, it is yet another pod kit in an ever crowded market. Surely there are only so much you can do with a pretty basic pod system, but OXVA are usually pretty good at delivering great products and an all-round excellent vape, so I didn’t roll my eyes quite as much as I usually do when having to review bread and butter vaping gear. Specs and Contents

As mentioned above this time you can change the coils – there are 3 different coils available 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm. You get the 0.6 and 0.8ohm included in the kit. Oxva Xlim replacement pods are refillable, 2ml pods with fixed, mesh coils that provide a satisfying Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) vape with a strong throat hit like that of a cigarette. The base is where you’ll find the USB port, so you need to lay it down to charge. It has rounded edges which are purely cosmetic, but to aid stability there is a ridge around the flat surfaces so it stands up very well when you put it down. Whilst it is nice to have a pod kit that stands up solidly, I did find it a little uncomfortable but that is down to the way I hold smaller devices. I usually sort of rest it on the crook of my little finger as this is the best position for me when it comes to lining my other fingers up with the fire button, and the ridge rubs slightly. Xlim pods are available in 3 options – with a choice of 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω or 1.2Ω fixed mesh coils for the Xlim & Xlim SE Kit. The convenient fixed coil design of Xlim pods eliminates the need for coil changes. When the coil reaches the end of its life simply replace the pod with a new one.I would call the Oxva Xlim C a full featured pod device compared to most of the pods that I have been receiving for review and there has been a lot of them lately. I think the 900mah battery capacity is decent but would never turn down a little higher capacity. I like that the battery can be charged in as little as 30 minutes. Weighing just 40g fully assembled, the Xlim C is a sleek little wonder of modern vape technology. With just a single button and an adjustable airflow switch on one side, there is little to configure and even less to maintain. To refill the included 2ml OXVA Xlim C pod, all you need to do is pull out the silicone plug that’s on the side to reveal the filling port and top up with your chosen e-liquid. You can also adjust the airflow to feel tighter or looser by using the switch on the side of the device. To get the most out of your kit, we’d recommend using it with an e-liquid that has a 50/50 or a high PG concentration.

I used 50/50 20-24 mg nicotine salt juices with these coils, and the flavor was great for a pod system. The coils performed at a pretty similar level. The 0.6-ohm coil did seem to produce more clouds, but I felt that the 0.8-ohm coil was actually a little better for flavor and better suited for the device. But really, you can’t go wrong with either. For battery size, I got a usable 840 mAh which is excellent. Very fair, and in fact fairer than most similar devices that are usually overrated by 20%. It does have passthrough vaping as well. The LED acts as a battery meter, and it’s the standard three-color setup that most devices go with. Are "Puff Counts" Accurate? - An honest guide to disposable vape puff counts, explaining how they're measured and whether they're accurate. Powered by a 900mAh battery, the Xlim C has one of the largest batteries found in a kit of it’s size. This of course begs the question, how good is the battery life? Well we comfortably achieved all day vaping from the Xlim C with one full charge. OXVA claim that a charge up to 80% will give you 2 days of vaping, but we didn’t find this to be the case. Despite this, the battery life is much better than competitor kits like the Uwell Caliburn series. What Are Disposable Vapes? - Everything you need to know about disposables to help you get started.
