Description

Before application it is important to make sure that all areas are clean, sound, dry & free from surface contamination. All oils and grease should be removed with a suitable degreasing solution. Any laitance on concrete should be removed by blasting, acid etching or other suitable mechanical methods. Hard smooth power-floated concrete floors should be acid etched or mechanically abraded. Care should be taken on previously painted floors to make sure that the original coatings are sound, as the epoxy will 'tighten-up' during curing, exposing areas of the original floor coating which have poor adhesion - mechanically abrading all areas is recommended to reduce this risk. Our Epoxy Garage Floor Paint is the number one choice for concrete floor paints in the UK as it protects and seals whilst offering an attractive, decorative, professional finish. This product is part of the Resincoat High Build Epoxy Range, heavy-duty, solvent free epoxy floor coatings, possessing exceptional abrasion and chemical resistance. We proudly manufacture all our resin products and floor paints in the UK, guaranteeing the highest quality finish. Buy in confidence from Resincoat an ISO 9001 accredited company. For greasy floors with heavy oil residue clean thoroughly using a suitable degreaser scraping off any dust or dirt and then prime with Resincoat Oil Tolerant Primer Separating the mix can be done by either weight or by volume, but make sure you’re using the one consistent with the datasheet.

We are passionate about championing businesses such as Simpson and Co. The last year really has been a battle for many small companies who have fought to stay afloat during the pandemic. A husband and wife team, they are one of only three businesses in the UK who still make pressed aluminium number plates on the original flypress. New concrete must be allowed to cure thoroughly which can take up to 3 months. Other surfaces have to be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate. Existing painted surfaces - Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare accordingly. This can be from either not getting the work done fast enough or from not stirring the product intermittently when applying. If you think you may have gotten the ratios wrong then there are a few ways to figure it out by the issues you’re having with the finish.

If the induction time was not followed then there are a good few issues that can arise. They are mostly aesthetic, but nonetheless problematic. Drying Time- Touch dry in 30 minutes, hard dry after 12 hours. Recoatable after 16 hours (minimum) and prior to 10 days (maximum). Mixed pot life: approximately 12-16 hours. To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1. The cured final coat is ok for foot traffic. Cars and heavy objects, however, should be left off the new coating for the first 48 hours and chemicals including water should not be introduced for the first 7 days (Full chemical cure). Give a good stir with something wide, like a wooden batten or a paint stirrer. If you use an electric paint mixer, also scrape around the sides and bottom of the tin to make sure it's all mixed in.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options. I am afraid i would recommend finding a DPM product to apply first. This can be an epoxy damp proof membrane or paintable style coating rather than a traditional DPM system. Provided our water based epoxy coating can be painted on top, this woud still be a very practical solution. Wash equipment in warm soapy water before it dries, but it's probably more practical to just throw the rollers away. Q: I’ve levelled my floor with Arden k301 which I chose because it is suitable for overpainting with resin paint.

The right choice for garage floors as it'll stand up to hot tyres and resist automotive fluids and chemicals that ruin ordinary paint. Safe and easy to use, virtually solvent free (extremely low VOC) for hygienic areas. Floorsaver Epoxy Floor Paint is a two part epoxy resin supplied as a tin of resin and a tin of curing agent. Once the contents of the two tins have been mixed together, a reaction takes place which causes the product to cure. This means that one 5L tin can’t be used for 2 coats. It will cover 30m2 with one coat, but if you have for example, 15m², you can’t use half the 5L tin for the first coat, then wait for the first coat to dry before using the other half for the second coat – it will have gone off in the tin. This is why we also make a 2.5L size. This covers 15m² with one coat, so select two of these if you want to apply 2 coats to an area of up to 15m².

On bare, reasonably clean concrete wash with floorsaver Floor Etcher. This cleans and keys the surface. Applying to very weak, crumbly or contaminated concrete since it may not be possible to prepare it well enough for the Epoxy Floor Paint to perform.

As many of our customers are classic car owners or business, we though that you might be interested in this small business which offers top quality and authentically made number plates.floorsaver Epoxy Floor Paint is a two part epoxy resin supplied as a tin of resin and a tin of curing agent. It will cover 15m² with one coat, but if you have for example, 7.5m², you can’t use half the 2.5L tin for the first coat, then wait for the first coat to dry before using the other half for the second coat – it will have gone off in the tin, so select two of these if you want to apply 2 coats to an area of up to 15m². If you have any questions please let us know. All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants. Concrete - power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good "key" for the paint. This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting, or chemically using Coo-Var Acid Etch. These processes will have the advantage in addition to preparing the surface of also removing dirt and laitance. Thank you for your interest in our product. I do believe the coating would be a good option for a decorative finish. Once fully cured there is unlikely to be any problem with water spilt on the surface, though standing/pooling water could cause the surface to discolour. When mixing with a mechanical mixer you need to be sure that it is set at a low speed. It may be tempting to crank up the speed to try and mix it faster, but the heat that will be generated from mixing faster would cause issues further down the line. The heat affects the reaction between the base and activator, and has a detrimental impact on the curing. New concrete should be at least 2 months old and always washed with floorsaver Floor Etcher to reduce alkalinity and to remove any weak, loose cement deposits.
