About this deal

If the cooler was malfunctioning with very high coolant temperature, it might shift to maximum to protect itself. However 39-41C should not override any custom fan curves or fixed speeds. It might override the default Quiet fan setting. What kind of fan curve are you using? So what do we make of the tweaks in radiator design? Well, in our opinion, this was the key element of the second-gen release of the cooler. The H100i relied on very high-RPM fans to achieve class-leading performance, while the H100 v2 uses a bigger, denser radiator and lower-RPM fans with higher static pressure to achieve similar results. As you’ll see next, it is different, but is it better? K70 RGB, K70 RGB PRO, K70 Lux RGB, K70 RGB Rapidfire, K70 RGB SE Rapidfire, K70 Lux, K70 Rapidfire, K70 PRO MINI

Our first active-state test is 3DMark Combined, which is a great way to place a heavy load on both the CPU and video card without venturing into unrealistic territory with “power virus”-type loads. We ran this benchmark in a continuous loop for about 10 minutes before taking the measurements. The system noise and temperature had peaked according to our readings at that point.

Next, we need to figure out why you are at 40C when sitting on the desktop. These are the questions about your room temp, case temp, basic airflow configuration. If your room temp is 33C, then we know why it's 40C in the case. If it's not, then we need to figure out what's going on.

About the room temp issue, I live in Spain, and all of these problems have been happening this summer, but now, that the autumn is coming, the temperature is decreasing, so my room is not that excessively hot anymore and due to that I think the problem is solved. The Corsair H100i v2 is an air cooler that has a rated lifespan of about 6 years. Is the Corsair Hydro Series Good? Are you having problems with the cooler? If you are not, then there is no reason to flash the cooler to 1.04 or 1.05. In my past professional role and experience in managing technology products, that list will require a lot of work to fix. They will need to take one of their own fans and try to modify them to work the pump controller. They will try to modify the pump controller - but's an expensive so will focus on a workaround with firmware. The CL is a major re-write.Again we see the new cooler’s Performance mode tying the older cooler’s Quiet mode, but at lower noise levels. That is a big win, folks! And if you’d prefer, you can always switch into Quiet mode, and get excellent results with around the same noise level as the average air cooler. In case you needed any reminder on this point, the older cooler’s noise level at load was simply ridiculous. If you wanted to show off your shiny new build to your friends, its 54.5dB noise level would leave them thinking your PC was on its last legs. There’s no other way to say this: the older H100i sounded broken at load. They need to re-write CL s/w..it's totally unreliable and and seems to be designed by someone with basic or very little windows internal knowledge. Of the few Corsair coolers I have left they are using CorsairLink which takes 45mb, runs 1 process, uses 0.5% CPU on average and does everything I need it to do for a cooler - tell me temps and fan speeds.

We are (at least I am) reading all that since December 2012 and now they keep saying "in a few weeks". Is that curve correct? When applying it, the computer works perfectly and it doesnt accelerate as heavily as before. On the desktop and playing non high-performance games, it works properly. But, in high-performance games the temperature keeps rising. Having the 100% rpm to 49ºC, I can stabilize the temp to 43ºC, being that the highest it rise. Nevertheles, I feel that the fans are overaccelerated and makes an unpleasant noise. From there, proceed with your typical Hydro Series cooler installation (don't forget to plug in your power and USB cables). All right, with the introduction out of the way, it’s time to get into the nitty-gritty of Corsair’s former and current best-selling coolers!

The fan installation can be done in multiple ways, but by default we would recommend having the fans mounted on the bottom of the unit exhausting air up through the radiator towards the outside of the case. If your system is already set up to have sufficient exhaust, then you can experiment with mounting the fans on top of the radiator where they can push cooler air from outside of the case down through the radiator. If you mount the radiator with the fans on the bottom, then it might be easiest to mount the fans to the radiator before installing the radiator into the case, which is what I did for this installation. Finally, we illustrate cooling performance faced with the extreme load generated by Intel Burn Test. We don’t think any application will put this much pressure on a CPU, so consider this an absolute worst-case scenario. I read this forum now only a couple of time a week as i don't want to waste my time waiting for bull****s that are said since I've flashed with 1.0.4 firmware to solve my problems...lol I have tried applying the curve following your indications, resulting in the image I attached. The screenshot was taken just after starting the computer and running ICUE, and as you can see the cooler is at 33ºC. if you put the system in standby, when waking it up you must restart CL or it will be freezed and fans will not follow settings

There is no specific fail point for the cooler. It's certainly not 40-45C. The rubber is rated for more than 100C+ and obviously we won't be melting plastic or metal. The only real vulnerable part might be the sealant/glue exposed to long term high coolant levels (55-70C+). However, all of this is mostly a moot point. On any recent processor, you are probably going to reach your CPU temp limits with a coolant temp of 50C -- or at least get uncomfortably close. Still noisy at 1200 rpm but way better than the pump managing them. LED's I can live without. The pump noise is now worrying me as the temps seen to rising but will persevere until a fix is available as I need my system. Don't worry mate....Corsair is working on releasing new firmware which will fix everything, everywhere, everytime, everyone....in no time...lol. I have a H100i v2 cooling system, and it has been working perfectly with Corsair Link 4 Software. Also, I own a K65 lux RGB keyboard working with Corsair Utility Engine 2 Software.
