It often acts in concert with the Land Raider Excelsior, a variant of the standard Land Raider also intended to carry out command and control functions, to help target orbital bombardments from a Space Marine fleet in high orbit of the embattled world. The Rhino Primaris can transport 6 Astartes into combat. Twin Ironhail Heavy Stubber now 8 shots total ( note: this used to be 2 seperate guns at 3 shots each. They both gained a shot but apparently have a combined profile.)

This is less of an analogy and more of a algebra equation. But based on what the Hammerfall Bunker does it’s hard to argue what it’s supposed to be the Primaris Replacement of. The thing is, the Bunker is really only a visual replacement – it can’t deepstrike and has no carrying capacity. It’s also immobile but has Line of Sight based missiles. So…yeah. At this point, I’m pretty confident that the Hammerfall underwent quite a few rules adjustments before it got the final approval – and at that point the model had already been produced. In those early days, almost everyone could take Rhinos – the Space Marines could take them (initially in squadrons of up to 10!), as could the Imperial Army (the old name for the Astra Militarum in the 80s) and the Squats. So too could Eldar Harlequins* and Space Orks, who were allowed to drive around in captured Rhinos as long as you painted them in the right colours! Just as well, because when the box (RTB12) first went on sale, it contained a squadron of three of them… Anphelion Project - The Red Scorpions used Rhinos during the battles against the escaped Tyranids of the secret research facility on Beta Anphelion IV. Robust and versatile, and able to resist the most hostile of environments, the Rhino has become the basic troop transport for Space Marine squads. It has also been used by many other trusted branches of the Imperial armed forces, including the Adeptus Mechanicus, Adepta Sororitas, Adeptus Arbites, Adeptus Custodes, and the forces of the Inquisition.

When the Adeptus Astartes fight, they employ a set of combat doctrines to eliminate the enemy. After pounding the foe with heavy weapons, warriors advance to lay down a hail of bolter fire before charging forth with chainswords roaring to finish the foe.If every unit from your army has the ADEPTUS ASTARTES keyword (excluding AGENT OF THE IMPERIUM and UNALIGNED units), this unit gains a bonus (see below) depending on which Combat Doctrine is active for your army. During the first battle round, the Devastator Doctrine is active for your army. From the second battle round onwards, at the start of the battle round, you can change which Combat Doctrine is active for your army, as follows:

The Orks are masters of salvage and they are capable of turning a completely destroyed tank or other vehicle into a functioning heap of metal and weapons within only days of beginning work on such a hulk. The Rhino is a particularly favoured vehicle that many Ork Mekboyz and Lootas like to target. Smoke Launchers and a Searchlight are standard options on a Predator Annihilator. It may be further upgraded with Dozer Blades, Extra Armour, a Hunter-killer Missile, and a Pintle-mounted Stormbolter. [1g] Technical Information Vehicle Name: The Rhino is powered by 2 Mark II Mars Pattern adaptable combustion engines. Each engine runs a dynamo, which in turn runs two electric motors (and recharges the engine's batteries). Each dynamo is attached to its engine using a power coupling, and is independent of the other engines. Should an engine be damaged in combat, there will be a reduction in the APC's speed but the other motor will continue to move the drive wheel. Renegade Space Marines - Space Marines that have left the Imperium but do not worship Chaos use the Rhino as their main form of battlefield transportation. The Rhino is the most common transport of the Space Marines, and the same can be said of the Heretic Astartes, for this machine is so ruggedly constructed it can see hundreds of standard years of warfare and still function at peak efficiency. The APC's chassis is based upon a Standard Template Construct, meaning that it is relatively simple to build, maintain and repair.The remaining Rhinos were slowly wiped out by attrition. Only the work and dedication of the newly-formed Mechanicum saved the Rhino and several other STC designs of ancient technology from being lost forever. The reliability of the original Rhino design meant that it has changed little over the intervening millennia. Protection for the Predator Destructor comes from three layers of armouring. The first, a bonded ceramite/ adamantine alloy, gives the Predator protection equivalent to five times its width in conventional steel whilst being lighter. This is followed by a reinforcing thermoplas with a mesh of sub-dermal energy dissipation fibre for protection against radiation. The outer layer is a non-metallic acrylic identification sheath. In all, this armour corresponds over the 200mm of 'standard' steel on the front of Predator. [1a] Note: It is unclear if these are Standard Fire or Supercharge. We’re assuming these are the Standard shots with the option to Supercharge them for +1 Strength and +1 Damage per profile.
