It’s funny, even before reading about the Vema Veche beach, I guessed it was a naturist beach or was at one point. It just had that vibe to me.. hahah! Since l’m not really a beach person, I wouldn’t really mind any of them. Once in the water, I like the beach, but then l worry about all my stuff on the sand. We live even closer to the beach now, and didn’t go even once this past summer. He hates to go alone, and l hate to go :-). I will make the effort the coming summer though. I need to start enjoying it. Reply Parking and camping are forbidden on the beach, but more and more tourists break the law and leave trash on the beach.

The beach itself is considered one of the best in this part of Europe, and it is a popular destination for foreign tourists as well. Developed as an elegant resort by Sir Richard Powell Cooper to attract ‘a better sort’ of resident, ‘vulgar’ attractions such as arcades and piers were banned in Frinton. Thanks to by-laws dating from the 1890s, nothing much goes on here. This has been flouted more recently with the opening of a fish and chip shop (1996) and pub (2000), but the town keeps a restrained air. Visitors awarded it five stars for peace and quiet, so it’s the perfect break from the city.Navodari used to be a place for summer camps. Even today, Navodari is one of the top Romanian beaches for holidays. That’s not bad, since most beaches are sandy and generally wide and nice, but some have larger seashells and bits of them which make walking a bit more of a challenge. Therefore, bringing water shoes could be a good idea, just to be on the safe side. Contending with high winds up to 40 knots, landings saw personnel boarding and leaving vehicles in different ways to generate data representative of different behavioural traits.

One of the few wild-ish beaches left in Romania, and also one of the last that hasn’t seen massive construction projects yet. Ignoring the small tidal beaches of the Thames and Thorney Bay on Canvey Island (because it takes longer to reach by public transport), the closest beach to London for most residents is Southend-on-Sea, in Essex. I went there twice and I had a good time. It was nice to finally find a beach that is clean and not too crowded.
