About this deal

Not really. I don't really "buy into" the need for non bio, lots of countries don't even have it. But I was impressed with the stain removal which I wasn't expecting from a non bio liquid. Alternatively, use Fairy Non Bio Stain Remover Powder before washing your baby’s clothes as normal. Easy peasy. Finding products that don’t irritate sensitive skin can be a lengthy (and painful) case of trial and error that results in carefully swapping between products for different family members adding hours to your laundry routine. However, that needn’t be the case with Surcare Sensitive. Laundry detergents such as Bio-D Non-Bio Washing Powder and Ecover’s Non-bio Laundry Liquid are eco-friendly, as are the Ecozone soapnuts. How much laundry detergent should I use?

Today, there are even versions of each type of detergent that are allergy friendly, suitable for washing on low temperatures and more. It can be tempting to throw all your washing into one load, especially when you have a million other jobs to do. Alternatives - There are other options, such as soap nuts, which aren’t detergents but will still clean your clothes. I tested out their laundry detergent in the Orchid Fruit scent and I thoroughly enjoyed this product. Sometimes when I have used a pod detergent in the past, soap scum can build up inside of the machine. Aesthetically, the bottle is also lovely to look at and its vibrant colour really makes it stand out from other detergents, although the scent was its best selling point.

It is also worth remembering that you cannot use this type of detergent for pre-treating clothing or spot cleaning, and often they cannot be used for handwashing either. You spend a lot of time cuddling your baby. So for extra snuggly softness, why not add a slosh of fabric softener to your family wash. Pop a Pod in your washing machine drum and pour a slosh of Fairy Fabric Softener into your machine drawer for snuggable comfort and softness. It'll leave your baby's clothes smelling amazing, too!

We use Fairy Non Bio for us all. OH has sensitive skin and I find that Fairy does not flare their skin conditions up.’ It’s entirely up to you. However, lots of parents in our Netmums forum agree that non bio is the best laundry detergent for sensitive skin. It was so nice to try out a variety of different detergents to see how they compared and how different they could be from one another. Obviously, the best laundry detergent is a very personal choice, so what’s good for you and your family may not be the best for someone else. That said, we recommend Daz as our best overall laundry detergent that is effective even at low temperatures whilst protecting colours and brightening whites. Affordably priced and with great value for money, many families are rediscovering the fantastic cleaning power of this brand. How we chose our recommendations Recommendations from real Mumsnet usersOooh, you can’t beat the smell of freshly washed clothes. And our Netmums parents LOVE the smell of Fairy Non Bio on their babies clothes. The washing smelt amazing when it come out of the washing machine. However after drying on the airer or tumble dryer I couldn't smell it anymore which was a shame. I loved the detergent. I hadn't used a liquid before, only powder and capsules. I'm converted!! I wasn't a huge fan of the softener though, I found it really watery. Non bio is aimed at kids and people with sensitive skin. It isn't actually sold anywhere else in the world. Go to France, Germany, the US, Holland, Spain etc and they're all "what the hell is non bio?"

Choose a detergent. We love Fairy Non Bio PODS®; so simple to just pop in the wash with no measuring! I'd buy the washing liquid, but not the comfort it didn't make the clothes any softer and it didn't make them smell nice at all. The answer to this question depends on the exact laundry pods that you choose and personal preference. These capsules ensure a powerful stain removal feature and will keep the colours in your clothes looking bolder and brighter for longer.Hard or soft water - It's helpful to look into the kind of water you have in your area, as those in particularly hard water areas (hello, Milton Keynes and Bath) may need to choose their detergent more carefully. You can find more information on this here. At Mumsnet, we know that with the cost of living going up, we’re all searching for cheaper dupes for our favourite, more expensive products, which is why we’re recommending Tesco’s Liquid Detergent. According to the forums, you can swap it out for Persil and never be able to tell the difference. It’s even Which? recommended, too!

To keep your babygrows bright, you’ll also need to separate your lights and darks before popping in the washing machine. Is it better to tumble dry or air dry your baby's clothes? Highly likely. I already buy the liquid for my youngest but hadn't tried the softener before and would definitely continue to use - provided the price is right. Love the fresh fragrance of the products - very light and 'clean' smelling; not overpowering to irritate my sensitive sinuses and allergies. Also happy by how soft and pliable the clothes are when dry. If you have a sensitive nose and prefer a milder scent, then Bold and Ariel would most likely be your best options.

About to wash my babies clothes before his arrival- do you use fabric softener or not? I have fairy non bio washing powder and was going to use fairy fabric softener but not sure whether you are supposed to or not? You don’t need to wash your baby’s clothes at really high temperatures. A 30 degree or 40 degree cycle is just fine, and with the right detergent will get your little one’s clothes clean. Psst – Fairy Non Bio delivers a brilliant clean even in a cold wash! The first step in finding a sensitive washing liquid is deciding whether to use biological or non biological detergent. So what’s the difference between the two? Some of these options are great if you’re looking for pods that will be effective in a cold wash, some are for anyone who prefers pods that have a milder smell, and others are for if you’re looking for a strong scent that will linger for days. There is something here for everyone! Ultimately, this left us with the best laundry detergents available today as recommended by parents, trusted by experts and rated by previous customers.
