universe (and there really wasn't much to explore in this film, either), but one can be almost sure that after some respite Michael Meyers will once to the target. It's a solid movie but it's also a fairly lifeless movie. It's an entertaining movie but also a disappointing movie. "If only..." will likely be a appreciate. In that good light viewers will note the deeper, more satisfying colors that offer a superior cinematic experience, making this the definitive

For more about Halloween Ends 4K and the Halloween Ends 4K Blu-ray release, see Halloween Ends 4K Blu-ray Review published by Martin Liebman on January 3, 2023 where this Blu-ray release scored 3.5 out of 5. They didn’t deliver a film that satisfied on its most base reason for existence – to be an entertaining slasher film, pure and simple are various Haddonfield exteriors, though never so sharp as to give the film an artificial look. On the contrary, this has a very natural, cinematic quality and unbale to live his life. Things change when he has a chance run-in with Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney) who, rather than kill Corey, with the Michael Myers side of the universe. This film introduces a new antagonist and does little that's truly interesting or unique with him. TheThe Dolby Vision color grading is likewise a very nice improvement over the Blu-ray. The grading offers the usual stable of improvements, including narratively worthwhile, or universe building arc for him, never mind do anything to leave a lasting legacy on the franchise. Still, kudos to the film for somehow recognizes the beast within him. Corey suddenly finds himself a changed man, desiring to deal death much like Michael himself. He finds and yet upon release, the howls of derision that greeted the film from the most ardent sections of Halloween fandom (full disclosure: myself included) let Blumhouse (the film’s producers), Green and Curtis know that they had singularly failed to deliver on any of their hype or on their promises. It’s a solid image overall – nicely organic and oddly filmic (unironically so, even without the grain), it’s a good visual representation that seemingly was never designed to hit the very highs that the format can offer.

If ever an opening credits font could serve as a warning shot, the use of the Halloween III: Season of the Witch font was it. This is a very different Halloween film from the two that came before. It’s more cerebral (or at least it thinks it is), and much more character focused than previous entries. But the character that gets the most care and attention, Corey, was introduced far too late in this franchise sub-trilogy. I felt Rohan Campbell delivered one hell of a performance here. When we first meet him, he’s likable and funny, and you feel for him when his life goes so bad. But he needed to have been introduced in Halloween (2018)- not two movies later. Most of his transformation would have been a great way to spend Halloween Kills instead of waiting for the next obnoxious chant of “ EVIL DIES TONIGHT.” tones are very healthy and natural, though of course with the movie being so dark so much of the time it takes a very well-lit exterior to fully To be fair - I didn’t hate Halloween Ends. I do not think this is the worst film of the franchise. I actually thought the character of Corey was a genuinely brilliant addition to the franchise. I thought that Laurie Strode masking her pain by trying to be “tits-out” domestic grandma was a smart avenue for her character as she and Allyson cope with their loss. I loved all of this stuff because it felt real and emotionally raw and was actually a smart path to take for a franchise riddled with stupidity. My problem with Halloween Ends is this was the exact wrong time to pull this particular story card.Various EPK featurettes (Final Girl, No Place Like Haddonfield, Ending Halloween, A Different Threat, Visions of Terror and Twisted Deaths) – totalling 37 mins Halloween Ends has some really good parts in place, but it squanders too many of them and flounders even when it seems to be inching closer If there’s been one constant with this new trilogy it's each film has scored an excellent 4K transfer, and that trend continues with this 2160p Dolby Vision presentation of Halloween Ends. The film was shot digitally and finished with a 4K digital intermediate. Appropriately dreary and cold, the image is impeccably detailed with facial features, clothing, masks, and gore getting all of the care and attention they deserve. Michael’s cobwebbed burnt mask is a standout for all of the close-up action we see with the short amount of screen time he gets.
