This being a short story, it's not quite as resonant as some of her longer work, but it's a sweet story fleshing out the career of my two favourite detectives, and a lovely thing to read before bedtime last night.

I also think that it’s the younger kids who are the enemies now and I hope that it’s not Kitty, Lavinia and Beanie as well. But I really don’t think that it will be those three as the blurb says “The detective society’s old allies” not “The detective society’s old members” so it has to be someone from outside of the detective society- including Alexander and George.I definetely think that Daisy will die but as most people think that maybe Robin will kill of Hazel. Me and my sister and trying to work out who is most likely to die and we both agree Daisy as she is always throwing herself inharms way for Hazel or the detective society (like in Misiltoe and Murder she climbed the drainpipe whilst Michael was chasign her) Not only are you making this the the last mmu of the series you are also killing one of the detective society!!! Nooooooooooo!!!

I was really hoping the book would be coral! I’m sure it will look simply lovely. I spent a good while brainstorming some ideas of book titles, though there wasn’t enough to go on! Though I think perhaps maybe one of them will sacrifice herself for the other to leave(Daisy, probably), like a hostage, but I can’t think of the ending at all. Also, since the woods play an important part in this book, then could the murder weapon possibly be an axe? And I still can’t figure out what the important thing Beanie does is.Earlier today, someone went into the star dressing room and STOLE Radzi’s wrestling outfit – a terrible and upsetting crime! Poor old Razdi.

It’s narrated by Daisy Wells. This was the first time I got to write in her voice, and it was amazingly fun. I really hope you could do a book named Death at dawn a I think it is a really catchy name. I hope you do well with your book and also I think Daisy dies as she is always putting herself in danger for Hazel and the dective society. Also, can we maybe please have a proper long book narrated by Daisy? She’s my favourite character and i would love to have a mystery told by her.Ever since Mistletoe and Murder published in 2016, fans have been asking me whether I was ever going to write a story about Uncle Felix and Aunt Lucy’s wedding. And ever since Death Sets Sail published in August, fans have been asking me whether that book really was the end for the Detective Society, or whether I might return to Hazel and Daisy’s world with short stories about them to bridge the gap between Death Sets Sail and my new series set during WW2, The Ministry of Unladylike Activity. Well this definitely didn't make me like Daisy Wells any more than I did prior to reading. She's a compete and utter jerk 99.9% of the time. Especially to Hazel. Also, after ‘Mistletoe and Murder’, will there be another book(or is that top-secret information!?) I’ve had a thought. i think that Daisy and Hazel stay alive but one of the Junior Pinkertons die but im not sure… And perhaps the reason the new girl is so popular at the school is because she either has high connections, famous parents or maybe she’s lived in different countries before and everyone is fascinated by her stories.
