About this deal

Antacids may increase the pH of the urine and affect the rate of drug elimination. Excretion of basic drugs is decreased whereas acidic drugs are eliminated more rapidly. Peptac liquid contains three active ingredients: sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate. Peptac liquid should preferably not be taken at the same time of day as any other medicines. In general, any interactions can be avoided if you don't take Peptac liquid in the two hours before and after taking any other medicine. Sodium: This medicinal product contains 57.85 mg sodium per 5 ml, equivalent to 2.9 % of the WHO recommended maximum daily intake for sodium. The maximum daily dose of this product is equivalent to 23.14 % of the WHO recommended maximum daily intake for sodium. Peptac is suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and above, it, however, is not suitable for patients who are allergic to any of the ingredients in the medication. If you are taking any other medication it is advised that you speak to your own GP before taking this medication. How long does Peptac last? Peptac Liquid is a widely used and effective heartburn and indigestion medication however every patient can respond differently to medication. You can take Peptac when pregnant or breastfeeding to help relieve indigestion/heartburn that is often associated with pregnancy Can I take Peptac with other medications?Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over should take 10-20ml after meals and at bedtime as needed, up to four times a day. Active Ingredients: Each 5 ml of this medicine contains 133.5 mg Sodium Bicarbonate, 250 mg Sodium Alginate, 80 mg Calcium Carbonate. Take special care if you are on a sodium-restricted diet as 10mls of Peptac Liquid contains approximately 6 mmoles of sodium.
