About this deal

anecdotal, 20% self-importance, 5% insightful information, and don't forget the copious amounts of name-dropping. This is definitely not what I expected, and to be honest I would happily scrape what I just read from my brain with my nails if I could. I borrowed a copy of this book from the library. All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for this review. Art in all its forms is a kind of dialogue between us and the entirety of existence, past, present, and future. It is us elevating our lives by elevating our energy.”

The universe has been conspiring to help us since before our souls’ arrival on this earth. Our teams have long been in place. Our job is simply to remain open to receiving these messages of love and guidance. When we do, we will know the most powerful truth of all—that the universe is constantly loving and supporting and guiding us, even on our darkest days.” Maximo told me how he had forgotten that conversation by the time Virgil crossed in his early 20s. But then, one day, Maximo’s young daughter came home and announced her new obsession. It is obvious the author loves what she does as well as her clients. She & they have had incredible experiences. Her beliefs fit right in with mine so none of this was new to me & I have watched all the medium shows on TV. I didn't have the type of family relationships she talks about so I was hoping there would be more about spirit guide communication but I guess the same can be applied to them. I read or heard long ago that we shouldn't ask for a specific sign because they considered it testing or playing games & didn't like it but she & her clients have had good success & it seems like a good idea to me. This book will be comforting & probably life changing to whom these ideas are new.

He was known for eating cereal,” he said with a laugh. “Breakfast, lunch, dinner, every day. I was worried he wasn’t getting enough nutrients. He just loved eating cereal.” I think people either believe in this sort of thing or they don’t, so I don’t know if any skeptics are going to be swayed by reading this book. But since I feel like I have asked for and received signs in the past, wow! This book is full of amazing stories. I suppose I have thought that in my own life, those signs were a one off, but I’m going to be more open to ongoing experiences from now on. The author makes no effort to substantiate her claims in any scientific way. She just keeps talking about god and offers a bunch of stories that pretty much demonstrate you can find symbols anywhere you want, if you decide to. From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Starts with Us and It Ends with Us, a novel about risking everything for love—and finding your heart somewhere between the truth and lies. We can meet with and get messages from our loved ones in dreams, and we can experience new facets of our relationships with them. What happens in these 3-D dreams most definitely matters”

There were parts I like and parts I didn’t. The beginning and end were good but the middle was a slog. I believe in signs and that there’s more to the world and all, I just don’t believe with all the specific things she had put together to explain it all. I think she makes it too easy and makes the world seem too pretty, which brings me to my main qualm. It’s easy for me, a rich white girl, to believe all is great despite a few hiccups. But how could other people, people less fortunate than me, buy into that? How could a widow in Syria who lost all her kids and has nothing say life is great and all about togetherness and love? DEATH IS NOTHING AT ALL Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again! —HENRY SCOTT-HOLLAND” I loved this book. Having lost close people in my life . This gave me hope knowing that they’ll be fine and that they look out for us.This stirring guide . . . asserts that anyone can learn to understand messages that are sent from the ‘Other Side.’ . . . For readers struggling with loss who believe it’s possible to communicate with the deceased, this book will console and empower them to look beyond their suffering.” — Publishers Weekly This book was just what I needed. So if you are wanting to open your mind to the possibilities of messages from the other side, read this book. It was a life changing read for me, and I am glad I took the chance. For the first time ever, a famous spiritual astrologer shares the secrets, previously known only to professionals, that hold the key to your future. April 2021: I re-read this book because it resonated with me so strongly that first time and I need some positivity and inspiration right now. Pandemic life has been hard on me, along with extra personal challenges I've faced recently. I feel isolated and less optimistic than usual. This book was a reminder that we are all connected, both here and on The Other Side. I feel inspired to ask The Universe for what I need and be open to guidance. Full of compelling, touching, synchronistic stories, the author gives us loads of insight into our people on "The Other Side" and how to communicate with them.

Thoughts can be both exhilarating and terrifying, because thoughts imply action, and action leads to change, and change is incredibly powerful.” It tells us how we can ask our deceased loved ones to give us signs from the other side to let us know they’re okay. That was all it took. That was all the permission the Other Side needed. Now, whoever was pushing through came crashing through. While the book speaks to things I already intuitively know, it has opened my mind and heart to so much more. This is a story about connecting with the Other Side, and this means many stories of loss but they are beautiful and cathartic. I cried a lot but not because it is sad but because it is about all the love and energy that binds is to one another. So I have a note named “bday “ on my phone where I have made a note of bdays for the upcoming days and the gifts I want to give. This is just me planning ahead . I came to this book by way of a former classmate who recently loss her husband and became widowed at 40 years of age with her three children. This is not the way to go about receiving wisdom from the veil. True signs from the universe are revealed to you intuitively and in their own time, anything else is a misguided attempt to forcibly come to terms with trauma. The actions depicted here are not healthy nor do I recommend them.
