And she continues to seek out marginalized trans communities around the world. Her next book on the subject, Transcendents: Spirit Mediums in Burma and Thailand, comes out this fall. Loved all the outfits & looks we created for her, wish we could share them all with you! Allen used her lens to reflect a more accurate reality — a positive, beautiful, even celebratory picture of a person who had finally found herself. This was no small task. For Allen to ask crossdressers or trans people to step out so publicly was a matter of trust, which Allen was dedicated to gain. The lovely Christie Cream on her first makeover with us, she opted for glam makeup and a few varied looks. We loved this particular one in the LBD, just stunning! 🔥👠💄

This beaut came to see us from the US for her first makeover with us. We loved creating this look for her ❤️💍💒👰 The Parlour enforces a strict dress code for cadettes for many reasons. Firstly, we all know how catty some cadettes can be about the clothing choices of others (not naming names!) and we can do without that kind of behaviour. Secondly, each cadette is a representative of the Parlour and we have to ensure we maintain high standards at all times. And finally... because it's a really cute outfit! It was lovely to have Jen over all the way from Sweden for her first makeover at our studio. We hope to see her again soon!It was great having the lovely Maddie here for her first makeover, she looked phenomenal and was super fun. Didn't you know? EVERY girl here is really a boy. No real girls were allowed in. That way we don't have to compete with real girls for the attentions of the real boys who are here -- like those two over there who are looking our way. Had a blast with Lucy on another fabulous makeover, this time we took a video to document the magic step by step. Thank you Lucy for allowing us to share this with the world .
