About this deal

Star Wars: Legion is played between two players, each bringing an army of miniatures assembled and painted before play began. Players have a good amount of flexibility in building their armies, but must build armies consisting of all one faction (Rebel or Empire), with one to two commanders (such as Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader), and three to six core units (generally troopers). Additionally, a player may bring up to three special-forces units, up to three support units, and up to two heavy units. Every unit, as well as the upgrades and abilities they may be granted, is worth a number of points. Traditional tournament play is set at 800 points, though the players may agree on another number outside of tournaments. The blue and and white colours of the 501st legion are brilliantly captured here, and I especially love how vibrant the blue is, although one could make the argument that the shade of blue isn’t 100% accurate. The three of them are easy to build and no matter how you build them they play the same, the encouragement is to construct them based on what you have to create natural synergy but this is not mandatory and I love that. Each one has been designed really well to create cool looks to make them stand out on the battlefield and now you can create the ultimate force made of the 212th led by both Cody and Obi Wan. Command slot: Aggressive Tactics when he’s the only named Commander, lots of other choices when he isn’t. Commander Cody will not be coming to Legion alone. In the ‘Commander Cody’ box will come three miniatures. The two companions that come with Cody are Waxer and Boil. These two unique personal upgrades add more possibilities to your Clone Armies. Battle tested and ready for any assignment, ARC Troopers are the best of the best. Enhance your armies with these elite troops when they're released later this year! A capable fighter and tactician, Cody successfully commanded ground forces in pitched battles and led critical infiltration missions. Learn Gear slot: Probably either blank portable scanners to make Take Cover into a “2” for efficiency, scopes probably would only get used once. Of course there could be new gear out with him or before this release?Air Support. Beam slices through tight enemy formations, allowing the commander using it to target up to two additional enemy units. However, vehicles aren’t the only way for the Republic to mount an offensive. Clones are perhaps the best resource Republic commanders have to complete their objectives and when rallied to First up, we have Captain Rex, also known as CT-7567 who served under General Anakin Skywalker and Commander Ahsoka Tano during the Clone Wars, leader of the 501st Legion. While the basic mechanics of movement in Legion will be quite familiar to veteran players, there was one item that throughout our observation and playtesting we found to be quite unintuitive in how it affected gameplay. A Detailed Look at Clone Commander Cody

Painting all three models was very easy with the whole process not taking too long due to the small amount of paints and steps needed for the models, what I did to paint them was follow these steps: Widely regarded as the best soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic, these elite clones have turned the tide of many vital battles in the Clone Wars. Soon, you’ll be able to call about these unshakeable troops with the ARC Troopers Unit Expansionfor Star Wars™: Legion! If a Clone Commander has spotted some advancing enemy units, they can take more direct action by calling in some devastating The Mandalorian Super Commandos bend the galaxy to Maul’s will in this expansion for Star Wars: Legion! Previously members of the notorious Death Watch, these elite Mandalorian warriors now follow Maul because he wields the Darksaber. With them, players have a powerful new special forces option for their Shadow Collective forces. Star Wars Legion: Gar Saxon a Mandalorian Commander expansionJump 1 to get change heavy cover to open in certain situations, which is usually better than an aim action The build was also mostly enjoyable in parts, with some really detailed and technical sculpting used to re-create the helmet’s shape, angles and also markings. Training slot: Maybe Offensive Push to make the most out of the “big” FS shot. Hunter or Seize aren’t totally crazy either. Celebrating 20 years of the Clone Wars are the first prequel-era helmets to join the ever-expanding Helmet Collection, and will be released on 1 March 2023. On the topic of Fire supporting, you can throw in an RPS-6 Fire Support, and spend an observe token for Impact 4, Surge: crit, Pierce 1 and a bunch of dice. This is kind of like an Anakin Saber Throw with a fire support, but at range 3-4, with slightly less Pierce.

Commander Cody Joins The Fight In Star Wars: Legion Soon

Shortly after yesterday’s official reveal of 75349 Captain Rex and 75350 Clone Commander Cody, I can now share my review of these 2 new additions to the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection. Both Echo and Fives lend their specific skills to whatever unit they’re assigned, but these ARC Troopers also provide a more basic benefit. Their upgrade cards feature an additional wounds statistic that they use instead of the wounds statistic of the unit they’re equipped to, making them even tougher than the average clone trooper. When you send them on a mission, you can be sure they'll do everything they can to complete it. On the Front Lines

Firstly, the good bits. LEGO have done a remarkable job adapting the Phase 2 helmet into the design, nailing the overall silhouette and shape of the helmet, which is no mean feat for a helmet with plenty of curves. All these cards have a lot of text on them. We’re going to try and boil it down below. Also, these cards have some room for interpretation When Cody comes out there’ll likely be some forum posts clarifying some things. 1-Pip: Bring it Down! Combining the skill at arms and genetic template all clones share with further specialized training and engineering, Clone Commanders are more than capable of leading entire regiments and can be trusted with the most vital missions and battlefronts. As the leader of an The Clone Trooper Helmets translate incredibly well to the Helmet format, and with the bright colours of the 501st and 212th, I can definitely say that they’re great additions to the collection.

Note the cost is cut-off and dark here but it’s also “15.” It also gives Scout 1 which is neat but Guardian 1 is very interesting on a potentially very cheap unit. At 67 points a Boil-only Phase 1 would be the cheapest permanent guardian in the game, and while it’s one fewer guardian value and 3 fewer health than a naked IRG this unit would have more access to surges via Aggressive Tactics or Bolster (it would likely not be able to share other clone’s surge tokens when doing guardian rolls based on the way the rules are currently written) and it would be able to do something other than act as a sponge since it can take aims and dodges its friends can use. Things are looking up for the Galactic Republic! One of the badasses of the Clone Wars, Commander Cody steps into the breach as the leader of the 7th Sky Corps. This set allows you to throw him into his games alongside his Jedi buddy, Obi-Wan Kenobi and make him the focal point of your strategies on the tabletop. He comes with three signature Command Cards that focus on what makes Cody a badass and you'll also note he comes with some friends too! with Z6 clones against Han Solo in heavy cover plus low profile: 5.639 wounds (dead half the time!)Beyond their personal skills, Clone Commanders have the weight of the Republic behind them and they know how to use it with three new command cards available exclusively to the Republic. Vehicles often play an important role in Republic strategy, and a Clone Commander can easily set up a Surge to crit: Good to have in this here faction, see below for my “Fun with Fire Support” examples Before we get to the pure conjecture I want to take an aside to say that this guy is really promising as a fire support platform for several reasons: LEGO really nailed Commander Cody’s helmet design, and this one is my favourite of the two. For starters, I really like the white and orange colour scheme, as it translates incredibly well here. Take Cover 1: Probably the least consequential keyword. Cody really wants to be doing more than handing out a dodge token. That being said, it gives Cody the ability to give a dodge to a Saber Tank which can help keep it alive. Cody can also get two dodges on the board when he activates, which could help keep your clone ball alive.
