The cable that comes up from the street is shot gun cable. Hi, my outside virgin media junction box was never fitted properly and the main plate is damaged, as a result the cover will not stay on and keeps blowing off in the wind.

When my parents had it installed, they would only clip it to the surface of the wall. Also, I wil have finished decorting by time they come to install, so now is the oppertune time as i've already got holes it the walls for wiring. I have receievd letter from council due to cabling from virgin outbox of building going onto pavement - see attached photo. This box and cabling needs removing as no one in the building uses virgin and the box and cabling is redundant and has become a hazard. Virgin Media said the box merely replaced an older one and they had offered to move the box in the past but after providing a quote, Ms Dillon did not pursue it. Thanks for the private message.
