With just 3 ingredients, you can have homemade hazelnut syrup in just minutes! Here's everything you need: Monin is a name you’ve probably heard of since you can see the bottles displayed everywhere, from grocery stores to bars and cafés. Hazelnuts are just not as popular here as they are in places like Europe, in part because they're grown most often in Turkey and Italy (though Oregon is also a top grower of hazelnuts!). In my opinion, the only real downside is that there’s no sugar-free option. So if you’re on a diet, you might want to stay away from this syrup. Your first step is to grab your preferred whole bean coffee. We recommend going with a light roast as it will bring out the flavor. You will also need unsalted hazelnuts as the salt can alter the taste of your coffee. You also want to ensure the nuts have their skin, as a majority of the flavor is in the outer shells. Don’t worry, you won’t find any trace of the skin in your brew. You want to measure out both your beans and nuts. We suggest going with two parts beans and one part nuts. You may have to play around with the ratio until you get the right flavor for you, however. 2. Grind the coffee and hazelnuts.

Ice Cream Topping: Hazelnut syrup over vanilla, chocolate, or coffee ice cream is a dream come true. Hazelnuts (I recommend roasted hazelnuts or recommend you roast them before making this) or hazelnut extract Stevia is another common alternative to sugar. This sweetener is derived from the sweet leaves of the stevia plant (Stevia rebaudiana)that’s native to South America.

Key product features

Artificial sweeteners have a similar chemical structure to sugar, so they activate our sweet receptors, but since our bodies can’t break them down, they have zero calories. How’s that possible, you might wonder? As you probably know, our tongues are covered with receptors that send signals to our brains to identify a taste.

Antioxidant Content: Hazelnuts are rich in antioxidants, such as vitamin E and phytochemicals, which help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. These antioxidants have anti-inflammatory properties and may contribute to overall health and well-being. As for the sweetener, cane sugar is used in this line. There’s also a sugar-free line, which uses sucralose and Acesulfame potassium, which is known as ace-K. Pancake, Waffle, or French Toast Topping: Use this syrup in place of maple syrup to add a nutty sweet flavor to your brunch. This syrup is incredibly easy to make and will help you take your coffee (and all kinds of other foods) to a whole new level! What are hazelnuts?

Sugar-free and carb-free, monk fruit is an excellent option for those who want a natural alternative to sugar. Other than omitting sugar, the most significant difference you’ll notice between sugar-free and regular coffee syrup is the taste.

But keep in mind, many of these coffee syrups use sweeteners that are more intense than your average table sugar. It’s best to add a little splash at a time until reaching the desired sweetness. CONCLUSION Going sugar-free can be challenging, especially when you take your daily dose of caffeine with a spoonful of sugar. Monk fruit has been rising in popularity over the years. Considered a superfood, monk fruit (Siraitia grosvenorii)is a small green gourd that belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family.Definitely not one you want to add to your coffee. This type is meant for using in cooking as a marinade, making sauces, or as a food sweetening ingredient. Dessert Sauces

DaVinci has been making coffee syrups for over 30 years now. Over time, the brand has broadened its taste range. Hazelnuts contain manganese that supports the body in forming bones and connective tissues. It also helps in blood clotting, osteoporosis, and joint pains. Hazelnut is also known as filbert or cob nut and is rich in nutrients and healthy fats. Alpine monks first used the filbert tree nut to add flavor to their coffee until it was known as “hazelnut” in the 1900s. This brand has a wide range of flavors, from piña colada to cherry and peach to lavender. They’re not a typical go-to for coffee, but these flavors really complement your java.
