About this deal

I feel that hyped skincare products sometimes run into the misfortune of people expecting too much from them – personally, I don’t really expect miracles or drastic results from any product that isn’t, say, a retinol. Very often, differences in skin texture, tone or smoothness are subtle even with the most amazing of beauty gems, because honestly, skincare is all about patience and slow and steady results. First, let’s discuss what probiotics can or can’t do. Mostly, they help balance out the skin’s microbiome, i.e. the sum of all microorganisms that happily live on your skin’s surface. Probiotics support the “good” bacteria, those little guys who help combat bad bacteria such as, say, acnes P. (responsible for acne), and they support the skin barrier in staying strong and supple. Are probiotics anti aging superstars? Eh, maybe that’s taking the marketing around them just a tad too far – they have the potential to keep your skin healthier and thus also smoother and firmer overall, but I personally don’t expect my wrinkles to magically disappear when using probiotic skincare. I think the Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule was one of the first K-beauty products I consciously noticed – this must have been years ago, maybe in 2015? It was in some magazine, where the ampoule was described as a dupe for the famous Esteé Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex serum. You know, that brown bottle with the definitely not cheap price tag? But I was disappointed with its soothing effect. I find that the ANR and the ma:nyo serums are way more effective on this point. It’s such a shame because, considering the formula and the amount of soothing ingredients, I expected a lot from it!

Personally, I never had the opportunity to test the previous formulas of this product. The Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Repair Probio Ampoule serum is the first version I’m trying. So I’m not going to be able to compare it with the older versions. What I did notice when using the Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule 5X is that my skin always looks more radiant and more evened out – it doesn’t smooth out wrinkles as such, but seems to just help plump up my skin in a way that it appears less fatigued and not as sallow. It is often compared to Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum as a less expensive dupe, and has gathered a cult following due to its ability to show great results. Ingredients You can use Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum morning and/or evening, straight after cleansing. Is Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule [Gold] A Dupe For Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum? They both come in bottles with a dropper applicator for easier application. Plus, they both keep the antioxidants inside safe from light and air (they would degrade them). The complete Missha Time Revolution collection consists of just about 20 products with essences, serums, toners, and creams created to revolutionize the way you do skincare. While the Missha Time Revolution products work to target various skin concerns, there are a few Missha Time Revolution items that have gained the brand its popularity among K-beauty fans and skincare enthusiasts alike. If you’re thinking about adding a few Missha Time Revolution products to your skincare roster, here’s where you should start. Apart from the already mentioned probiotics, fermented ingredients and fruit/veggie extracts, the Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule 5X also contains a nice little combo of hydrating humectants glycerin and hyaluronic acid, plus moisturising ingredients such as ceramides, sunflower seed oil and squalane. It is a richer ampoule meant for women 30+, so younger skin may find this a bit too much. Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule 5X – Worth the Hype? Sodium Hyaluronate is a form of Hyaluronic Acid. It’s a humectant that attracts, and binds, to the skin up to 1000 times its weight in water.

Makes sense. Your skin’s barrier is your first layer of protection from harsh weather, irritating skincare products, toxic pollutants, and anything else that’s trying to harm it. The stronger your barrier is, the less likely something is to breach it and irritate you.

But it’s Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule [Gold] that really shines here. It has two ingredients that makes it a more effective option for your skin. The Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Probio Ampoule is an anti-aging serum, with some Bifida Ferment Lysate as a key ingredient. It’s a fermented yeast extract that is supposed to help reduce the signs of skin aging. It’s indeed very antioxidant and would also be able to help the skin to regenerate, and in particular, to repair the effects caused by excessive exposure to UV rays. Another pro is that lavender oil has some nice antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. It also has some localpain relieving and muscle relaxing magical powers. Lavender oil is also often claimed to have anti-inflammatory properties. We have found a study confirming this but it was the essential oil of the leaves and not the much more commonly used flowers and the two differ in their main chemical compounds very much. (The main components of the flower essential oil are linalyl acetate and linalool [around 80% the two together] while it is 1,8-Cineole [around 65%] in the essential oil of the leaves.)
