About this deal

The first pull was set to be pulling the peg out of the ground at a 45° angle, replicating use on a tarp, awning or tent – in effect, trying to bend the peg as well as pulling it free from the ground, and that’s a no-no for some of these pegs. With an incredible selection of pegs to choose from and believe it or not almost every size has its own unique purpose.

Hex Pegs come with a two-year warranty and can be used with any drill including impact drivers, which generally feature much higher torque ability to screw the pegs into harder ground. This set of Adventuridge Premium Screw Tent Pegs will ensure your tent is securely fastenedto the groundno matter the weather. I promised myself for years I'd try fabricating an adaptor to fit a rock peg head to a SDS hammer drill with rotation stop. Ground Dog screw in pegs are sold individually, and each Ground Dog screw in peg comes with an orange Hook Collar.Obviously, we couldn’t hammer the plastic sand pegs into hard-packed dirt and the two smaller steel pegs don’t hold in soft sand.

Whether you own a caravan, motorhome, tent, or camper trailer, at some stage you will need to use a tent peg, whether it’s for a tarp, or to stabilise an awning, be assured that the multi-purpose Ground Dog screw in tent peg is the peg for you. Our steel series are made from heavy-duty galvanised steel which means it’s super tough and sturdy and comes with a lifetime replacement warranty. As the Blue Screw is so flexible and long, you need to ensure it’s wound all the way in if pulling it at an angle, but works equally as well if screwed in line with the rope pull instead of at an angle, which could bend or twist the shaft beyond its limits. They test them against traditional tent pegs and measure the load that they can withstand before pulling out of hard ground and beach sand. They’re also a handy peg to secure your canoe when you’re out exploring – simply hand-screw into the ground close to the water’s edge where the ground is soft (be sure to keep your eye on the tide!

I am disabled and struggle so this is a little gem for me, makes everything easier, recommended by a friend who had suffered from a heart attack and could no longer bang pegs in to the ground but both of us are still caravanning and putting awnings up thanks to these things! It also addresses the issue of people getting their fingers caught as the head spins while drilling them into the ground. I've used screw-in pegs for years (actually coach bolts with a plastic joining block at the head) and have never had problems other than on hard standings.I've got some but as other have said they aren't all that easy to screw in - I usually bash them in halfway with a hammer and see if they'll screw in the rest of the way. A very easy to use clothesline and so compact that we just put it away in the washing machine, ready for the next use, doesn't over tighten the awning arms and pink so I can see it during the day light.
