The translation of this novel is excellent. I didn’t even really think about it being a translation while reading, it was as if the author had written it in English originally. This is a thought provoking read that will stretch your imagination and tug on your heart strings. I really enjoyed it and recommend it widely, although just bear in mind that it’s a novel best suited to the open minded as it’s quite speculative about mortality and the afterlife.

Now the adventure itself is just so well done and wrapped up even better. There's nothing I can say that I didn't like. The pacing was perfect, I could easily keep up and it wasn't as predictable, which I was pleasantly surprised to learn. It felt like we were given a lot of clues, bits and pieces to put together along with our two main characters, and while it wasn't too complex, I had moments where I failed to piece the puzzles. That's absolutely not a bad thing at all. And when you actually finish the book, you get this sense of accomplishment and happiness that you were able to put these things together and come to a conclusion. The magical side of the book doesn't dominate and it doesn't overwhelm and confuse, which I was delighted about. We get to read the dreams that comprise this book, and these are wonderful little segment, not too long, but just right, and I wish the ARC had illustrations. I can't even imagine how gorgeous the physical copy will be! Ahhh, I wish I had one right now!Thank you to Usborne Publishing an Netgalley for the review copy in exchange for an honest review. This does not change my opinion in anyway The plot and the characters worked brilliantly. The main aim of the plot was clear and easy to follow and it was made wonderfully intriguing by the misunderstandings, near-misses and scheming from different characters. The underlying commentaries on kindness, family, love and death kept the story interesting and gave me plenty to think about after I'd read it. a b c Book of Dreams (CD liner). The Steve Miller Band. While there, he is comatose and vividly dreaming about the secrets of his past.

Book of Dreams is the tenth studio album by Steve Miller Band. The album was released in May 1977 on Capitol Records in the United States, Canada and Japan and by Mercury Records in Europe. Three singles were released from the album in 1977 with the first single, " Jet Airliner", being the most successful. At the reunion, Treesong, assisted by his underlings, imposes imaginative (though non-lethal) humiliations on his childhood tormenters. Gersen, disguised as a musician, shoots and wounds Treesong before fleeing. Gersen's extensive business empire includes Cosmopolis magazine, and he often masquerades as a journalist, "Henry Lucas". Gersen examines old Cosmopolis files for anything about Treesong. He discovers a photograph, apparently of a formal dinner, bearing the words "H A Treesong is here", with no other information. He launches Extant, a livelier sister magazine to Cosmopolis, and publishes the picture in the free inaugural issue, offering large cash prizes for the identification of anyone in the photograph. How must they feel, all the people whose beloved lies in a coma? Do they remain ‘faithful’ in the most innocent sense of the word? Do they long for sex, the touch of skin, laughter, shared moments when life is full and sweet? Or do they die, a little at a time, because they no longer there to live? Do they abandon their lives completely and devote themselves entirely to caring and comforting? Or do they conserve some of their energy for themselves?”.George gründete 2011 die Initiative „JA zum Urheberrecht“, mit der sie sich aktiv für die Rechte aller Kreativarbeiter und Kulturschaffenden gegen die Mentalität der Gratiskultur im Internet einsetzt. Thanks is extended to Simon and Schuster Australia via NetGalley for providing me with a copy of The Book of Dreams for review. Top Selling Albums of 1977 — The Official New Zealand Music Chart". Recorded Music New Zealand . Retrieved November 9, 2021. I then learned that another musical idol of mine, Kate Bush, has a song (and music video) about this book as well: "Cloudbusting".
