Description

It has been about 2 months now since I last used olaplex products and my scalp is still very itchy every single day and I still lose a lot of hair, much more then I ever used too! These Olaplex dupes and alternatives rival Olaplex’s claim that they actively repair hair damage and restore the hair’s strongest bonds to leave it in much better condition. If you want to try them when they’re next available, hurry to your nearest Aldi store before they sell out. OLAPLEX 4 AND 5 DUPES As someone with fine, low-porosity hair, I always struggle to find a volumising product that works for me. It's not often they deliver the same result as shown on the model, or they’ll leave a residue that feels a little crispy once dried. The overall internal structure resembles ladders that have been twisted into a shape resembling a multi-fiber cable called microfibrils. These then combine to form macrofibrils which are contained in the cortex. These “cables” stay in alignment, resisting twisting and bending, as a result of disulfide bonds. They are held together in the cortex with a microcellular cement that also contains an abundance of disulfide bonds.

They contain more concentrated levels of the active ingredient which are only used in professional settings where colouring chemicals are being handled too,’ explains Tom.

How to Use Olaplex At Home

Editor's note: Olaplex came under fire in 2022 after customers claimed the product caused breakage and hair loss— and a lawsuit alleged that the company didn't disclose the fertility-related health risks linked to an ingredient in the product. Despite using "a trace amount of lilial" at a 0.01% concentration, which the company claims isn't a harmful amount, it has since been phased out of the formula.

Like many areas of life – say, marathon training or learning to surf – you aren’t going to see results instantly, and the same rule applies to your hair. Ultimately, the outcome will depend on how strictly you follow your Olaplex routine. Olaplex has an entire hair line that includes shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioners, hair masks, oils, and more. Though I've heard good things about all of Olaplex's products, I only use the No. 3, which is essentially a mask that you put on wet hair and then rinse out during your normal shower routine. This product from Korean brand Elizavecca went viral after people started comparing both this product and theElizavecca Milky Piggy Collagen Coating Protein Ion Injection to Olaplex 8 and 9 respectively. Image: Elizavecca Cleverly, it seeks out the broken bonds that may have been missed in step one and gets busy repairing them. See No.2 as a more concentrated version of No.3 (more on that to come), but not quite as punchy as No.1. Olaplex No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment All hair contains millions of disulfide bonds which give the hair its structure, strength and stability. When all the bonds, especially the disulfide bonds, are intact and in alignment, you have healthy, beautiful, shiny, touchable hair. When disulfide bonds are broken, it results in damage.Stay loyal to this system and you'll soon see the difference. Trust me, when it comes to Olaplex, you can believe the hype.
