Instead of non-consensual kisses forced by situations, we got our kisses by pure need of the characters and there was no miscommunication about whether or not they felt something. I am excited to finally read Viggo’s book and find out what he is doing in Escondido that’s so secret. There is a huge chunk of story that is missing in my opinion, the vital step from being friends to actual lovers in a way was watered down and wrote in a rush with the characters telling us how over the span of x time they grew closer.

Even though he knows there is no way he’s going to be able to endure being friends with Sigrid ‘Ziggy’ Bergman.I want to soak up and breathe in whatever’s inside this woman that charges the air and makes my atrophied, frozen heart want to grow and warm and heal and fill with things it hasn’t in so long. Not so sold on him being this super bad boi, I obvs didn't wanna see Ziggy hurt but his persona was rather tell vs show and I get he had his own troubles to deal with but these felt a little rushed, especially his own family dynamic was left kinda unresolved. I loved so much about them, but mostly what I loved is how well they got to know each other, just spending time together and doing things with each other. Ziggy dealt with her own demons throughout the storyline and her character gained little by little the confidence and affirmation she was seeking for to affirme herself between her family and soccer team. He needs a reputation rehab and hanging out with his best friends sister, the good girl, will surely help.

I've been dealing with a noisy crowd, aggravating undies, petty fellow athletes, overinvolved family, and I'm done. Her stories pack a punch of heat, heart, and humor, and often feature characters who are neurodivergent like herself. and the way ziggy constantly saw through his bad-boy-don’t-give-a-shit front and made him realize that he is so much more than what he thinks of himself? Their thoughts and acts were always orbiting to one another, noticing every detail even the insignificant ones and in how they always were aware of the mood’s shifts of each other, how their relationship was mined by disinterested acts and word of affirmation was the most precious part of the storyline. This book was everything I wanted it to be and more, and I'm so deeply in love with this family I can barely stand it. The ending felt rushed and so, so short after reading chapter after chapter of them painstakingly making their way to one another. A fake friendship premise with the youngest Bergman sibling Ziggy and bad boy Sebastian, who’s best friend with Ziggy’s brother Ren. The chemistry between Ziggy and Seb in this book was top notch, but it was seriously the slowest burn ever! Influenced by her romance books, Ziggy proposes that she and Sebastian hangout together as friends, so that his "bad boy" reputation will rub off on her a little bit, and her "innocent" persona will hopefully help Sebastian settle down.

And it does take long for the most cinnamon bun bad boy you've ever read to start to really like the quirky Ziggy…. As a queer neuro divergent problem with dietary issues and chronic illness who loves a sports romance this book was bloody amazing. It's simple: fake a friendship with Ziggy, fix my reputation, and get back to hockey - the one and only thing I love . There is just something about a Chloe Liese book that speaks to my soul, the characters are all beautifully written, with flaws and quirks which I love.i loved watching how domestic this couple is in the sense of sitting on the couch and drinking tea or eating ice cream together and stealing spoonfuls of each other’s bowls, that type of intimacy that is hard to nail for a lot of authors, but chloe really did a good job. He exaggeratedly flagellated himself for my liking and was persuaded that he didn’t deserve Ziggy or her friendship.

Because I believe we all deserve the chance to be seen for who we are in our present, not for who we’ve been in our past. It's Bridget, one of our just-retired midfielders from the National Team, whose spot I filled on our starting lineup. Sebastian and Ren are teammates-both are star forwards for the LA Kings hockey team-but beyond that, what makes them so close is a mystery to me. In the summer of 1982, while on a break from the Broadway play, Your Arm's Too Short to Box with God, LaBelle entered Sigma Sound Studios to record with writing-producing team Dexter Wansel and Cynthia Biggs. If Only You is a contemporary, slowburn, sports romance featuring the brother’s best friend and teammate, bad boy with good girl, and “(fake) friends to lovers” tropes. They're flawed and complicated, they mess up a lot (I'm looking at you Seb), but at the end of the day they just want to be seen for who they truly are and not the mask they present to the world.
