About this deal
Great software support, Elgato built-in, CHERRY MX Brown switch availability, a plush wrist rest, stunning design and rock solid build quality. Our low profile design allows the K95 RGB to fit inside most travel bags and offers piece of mind against accidents in transit. It’s a gorgeous, if superfluous, touch – we’re mostly impressed with the way colors wash across Corsair’s transparent logo.
Nevertheless, the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum is one of the best gaming keyboards we've reviewed so far. A full-sized keyboard is already big enough, but this keyboard has a massive forehead and a wrist rest. And, while the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum is an attractive keyboard with a ton of features – Corsair’s ‘iCUE’ software is still a pain to use.
Those who are interested in switches other than the three Cherry options offered here will have to look elsewhere.
The new K95 RGB Platinum XT takes all the features of its highly praised predecessor and improves upon them. At its core, the K95 RGB Platinum shares relatively the same shape, design and aluminum build as its predecessor, but there are key differences. When combined with Corsair’s iCue software, you can customize a myriad of things other than just what color you want the lights to display today. Built with customizable macro keys, on-keyboard volume control and Windows locking features, it has a lot of superb functionality. As someone who jumps between Windows and Mac often and has an Apple Arcade subscription, it's nice to have Corsair gear serve as a universal option, especially when it works as well as the K95 XT.
