The handlebars can adjust up and down 1.5″ for slight height adjustments, while the entire handlebar mechanism can be rotated towards the rider to allow for an easier reach for the smallest riders. Footrests are great for keeping your child’s feet away from the moving parts of a bike. Here are some things to consider: is there any chance of entrapment? Are the feet secured in place to ensure no opportunity to go near the bike’s wheels. Our bike seat will fit almost all bicycles – mountain, hybrid, full suspension, cruiser, men’s or ladies, full-size folding bikes, even bikes with oversized head tubes. As long as your bike has between 49 to 60cm clearance from seat post to headset, the Weeride Kangaroo will fit. However we do not recommend it for racer bikes or drop handle bikes because of the riding position (rider is too hunched over) and for small-wheel / 20” compact folding bikes . Warranty – WeeRide baby bike seats are made to the highest spec in Europe and have a 2 year warranty. Once the spacer is installed, simply remove the smaller, thinner plastic spacer inside the front clamp of the seat’s mounting bar (the plastic insert closest to the “FRONT” marking on the bar, marked with red arrow below). Once removed, wrap the clamp around the groved spacer, making sure the end of the bar is placed inside the spacers’ groves, and then tighten. Installing the spacer does require removing the handlebars, so be sure to know how to properly and safely reinstall the handlebars on a bike before you take them off!Giving the seat a freshen up with some new straps or replacing the occasional part saves the cost of buying an entirely new seat if anything does break or wear out.

Those little feet can end up on your handlebars, which happened to us the very first time we took our tester out for a ride. However, you’ll only have to install it once. Once in place, the seat itself can be removed and reattached easily, which our tester really loved. Although the bar left behind when the seat isn’t on doesn’t look too snazzy and adds a significant weight to the bike, being able to remove the seat for everyday riding so easily is a huge bonus.Well made seat – is your child protected and supported? Is there protection at the rear and on the sides? Is the seat well made by a reputable company? Shoulder straps on lower-end child bike seats are notorious for sliding off a child’s shoulders. Without the shoulder strap securely positioned on top of a child’s shoulders, the effectiveness of the bike seat harness is certainly weakened. If it’s not clear a seat has this approval you should be wary. If they have tested the seat themselves, then there is another red flag. Whilst many high quality products do exist, we often see products that have been self tested originating from China. This is fine for short rides around the neighborhood, but if you want to go more than a few miles, I would suggest a smaller seat, a rear child bike seat, or even a bike trailer where your pedaling motion and steering ability are not limited by a large seat taking up space. The drop handlebars on a road bike means the rider has to lean forward over the crossbar to get to the lower position.
